I bought a drone at Best Buy and from the beginning it had problems. When I tried to return it, they told me they couldn't help me because I didn't buy the additional warranty with them. The worst thing is that the product was still within the manufacturer's warranty year, but instead of guiding or supporting me, they simply told me they couldn't do anything.
The feeling I had is that while you are paying, everything is smiles, but after the purchase they don't care about the customer. There was no empathy, no attempt to find a solution, only rigid rules and zero interest in helping.
One expects a large store to support the products it sells, but my experience was totally the opposite. Very disappointed with the customer service.

2-5-2026 I bought a Insignia fire tv, and it started going blank in the middle of a movie with a pinkish color screen and a very loud noise. this incident happened twice already since I had it. Over the years of purchasing tv’s I never had any problems problem, but I will not be buying anymore TV’s there anytime soon.

Bought a brand new printer on sale from Best Buy during the holidays. This brand new printer doesn’t work anymore after only 3 - 4 uses; it had a phantom paper jam that wouldn’t allow me to print anything. I reserve an appointment for geek squad so they can look at it, the Best Buy site even lets me select the item I specifically want to have looked at so geek squad knows as well.
I step up to the geek squad counter with my printer, the guy doesn’t even say hello to me and says “just so you know, we don’t really do printer repairs here”. ……….. so why is it an option on their online site ?? Why would they sell printers and then completely refuse to look at it at all to see if the problem can be solved or not? The man redirects me to the front counter and says I can still return the model for a brand new one. Okay. But THEN: the lady at the purchase counter says I can’t exchange it at all, because Best Buy has discontinued with the product and there are no more available through their website or physical stores. I went back and forth for a minute because I was confused, I JUST bought it, this was the exact printer I wanted and needed. I almost decided to keep the printer so I could have it looked at at another tech store for repairs until I ultimately decided to just return it for my money back. The woman gives me the weirdest look as if I’ve been bothering her for half a hour instead of just needing simple help for a couple minutes, I couldn’t help but ask “is that okay?”. I get my receipt and go - I went there today around 12:30 PM, the lady had dark hair, bangs, and glasses, and gave me some of the most unfriendly energy I’ve come across in a while, like I was bothering her from the get go instead of just trying to be patient and understand the situation. I work in customer service myself, and I’d never give someone such unwelcoming behavior as she did.
The rest of the store was equally as unfriendly and didn’t even feign any warmth to help. My mom was with me at the time and even remarked on it afterward. Every person we kept talking to so they could show us and provide more in depth info on the printers they had just kept redirecting us to a different employee, no one felt like showing us any of their products. When I told one staff member that I was looking for a good fine art printer, he just swiveled his computer screen to me from where he sat and said “you might like this one. We have it there in the back to look at”. Didn’t bother getting up from his seat to show me himself and explain its features. I just said okay and left.
All in all, basically everyone had the energy of “I don’t wanna be here”. Disappointed I had to return my printer and even more disappointed they didn’t even try to help sell me on anything that might replace or surpass it. Can’t think of a retail store experience I’ve had as bad as that one. Probably half the employees need extra customer service training to - at the very least - try and make people feel welcome if they can’t help with their specific issue / don’t have the product they want.
