I want to inform people to think twice before going to this veterinarian. I had the worst experience ever. I went there with my seven year old Chihuahua named Baby. My intentions were to just get a check up, but the doctor there was pretty much saying that my dog lived a good life, and now it was time for him to be put to sleep not in those words, but that’s how I took it. I was extremely taken back by her lack of empathy, and because of that I have filed a formal complaint with the veterinarian association board. I really hope something is done to stop these people from working in an industry and having no feelings for the actual job that they have we are people and we love our animals and we come there to receive support I cried my eyes out for the whole two days and now I’m mad this is no way to treat people do better.

I was charged $57 for FVRCP vaccine for my kitten. They told me rabies vaccine was $78. Didn't get the rabies vaccine there. I went to another hospital. The prices for the same vaccines were $20 and $35. This is my first cat so I didn't know the prices beforehand. For me, it felt unnecessary overpriced.

I have been bringing my puppy here since June 2019 based on the recommendation of a friend, and both my pup and I have been very pleased with our experiences here. Everyone is helpful and friendly, the facilities are well maintained and appear well cleaned, and my dog is well taken care of. People are quick to answer the phone and respond to questions and concerns. The only reason I would consider giving four instead of five stars is that I have had to wait more than 20 min past my scheduled appointment times to be seen, which is stressful due to a demanding schedule; however, I understand that it is easy to be kept long with previous patients and appointments, and it is evident that VCA Alosta works hard to run as effectively as possible.

Office staff is awkward and not the friendliest. Doctor is ok as far as I could tell. However, I took one of my bulldogs to get neutered here and he was TRAUMATIZED after the experience. He was in lots of pain and scared of everything. A year has passed now and my dog has become untrusting of people and terrified mostly of tall men. Not sure if this had anything to do with the doctor but the problem only came about after getting him neutered here. Don’t know what happened that day but will NEVER go back after my dog reacted this way. Very upsetting.
