The Day Care and Boarding at VCA AMC of El Cajon offers luxury, state of the art facilities providing pampered boarding for your pets. We offer suites with webcams, large runs, state of the art cleaning and ventilation systems, and non-slip flooring. Dogs are walked numerous times a day in our spacious, landscaped and enclosed yard. Cats are housed away from barking dogs, to reduce stress. Our sunny cattery features spacious condos that include webcams, separate areas for relaxing, eating and play. We provide comfortable bedding, immaculate housekeeping and two meals daily. Our guests receive daily exercise, brushing, love, and attention. Our expert groomers with numerous years of experience will make your pet look and feel great!

- JBJanna Brice5 days ago1.0Your pet deserves the best and so do you. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE! Front desk staff Unprofessional had to ask Doctors if my pet could be seen. I had to call back 4 hours later after they told me they would call me back (my pet was dying and in pain) Nope no appointments for a couple days ... pathetic ... imagine a Veterinary clinic turning away pets that are dying and imagine a front desk person telling me I could euthanize my pet at home. Years ago this place was a wonderful place. I would recommend it to all but no longer. Hope they go out of business. Read the other reviews and looks at the response by management...... tells you all you need to know. No accountability. No solutions.. No Empathy ...Why have a clinic if it runs like this? Money obviously. Not for the love of animals. Please take you pet elsewhere. I ended up taking my pet to a urgent care and they were EMPATHIC, PROFESSIONAL, CARING staff all the way from the front desk to the Doctors... so there are wonderful places for your animals it is just not here.

However, yesterday was the best visit I have had by far, so much so that it encouraged me to finally place a review. Dr. Bañuelos and her assistant Abby are so amazing! They are a very knowledgeable and a very thorough team. Abby made me feel like they cared so much about my dog and her health and treated me with so much kindness. She was super patient with us and definitely exceeded my expectations. When I imagine someone that is doing what they are meant to do in life, I imagine someone just like Abby, who definitely loves what she does and all the animals that get to be taken care of by her and Dr. Bañuelos are so fortunate! Thank you Dr. Bañuelos and Abby for a wonderful experience!

Never heard back, had to call only to be told that it was assigned to a Dr that is rarely in that office. $700 and no courtesy call or anything. Still don’t know the results of what we paid for. Frustration is an understatement

And I have it on recording and I told him thank you for the recording, they were both rude. We told them that my sister was missing for 4 hrs yesterday, and before my mom could begin telling the nurse what happen she walked out and said " I don't have to deal with this". How unprofessional is that. No one should go back there. I will make sure my friends do not go there with their animals.

That place only care about money and not your pet. If you love your pets please please take them somewhere where the staff actually cares about you and your pet. You can do way better than this place.
