Came in on the 1st for a trade-in promotion that was supposed to give me $1,100 in monthly bill credits. The first employee I dealt with actually knew what he was doing—quick, efficient, no issues. Since I needed time to transfer my data, I took the trade-in phone home. Big mistake trusting this location after that. I sent my mom (the account owner) back to drop off the phone, expecting a simple handoff. Instead, she got stuck with an employee who was painfully incompetent. Rather than processing the $1,100 trade-in credit, she issued a $265 Verizon gift card. How you mess that up this badly is beyond me. She looked completely lost the entire time, randomly clicking through the account while I was getting nonstop alerts. Because of her screw-up, I had to waste time calling Verizon customer service. Thankfully, the call center agent actually knew what he was doing—but even he had to dig through records to untangle the mess this employee created. Going from $1,100 to $265 isn’t a small mistake—it’s outrageous and honestly feels borderline scammy. She wasn’t even wearing a name tag, so of course we couldn’t identify her. Customer service could only tell me her name started with a “V.” Now I see why this location has such terrible reviews. Either stop hiring clueless employees or train them properly, because this level of incompetence is unacceptable. Avoid this store unless you enjoy fixing other people’s mistakes.

I came to tho this location earlier today to replace my SIMS card or obtain an electronic one and was advised by one of the rep’s to add a new line and my phone would start working again or to wait it out. I obviously wasn’t going to add a line and I had somewhere to be so decided to come back later and I’m so glad I did. Vidi helped me out and my issue was resolved in less than 5 min. She was professional and attentive.

My wife stopped by today to upgrade her phone. The rep helping said the special she was looking at included a free SIM upgrade as well. First off the gentleman helping her added insurance to the phone. When I called to see why we needed insurance on device he was explaining that it was mandatory because if something happens to phone Apple doesn't have replacement parts yet and that I could call and cancel it a couple months later. When I pushed back and explained that I had pre-ordered my phone and insurance wasn't mandatory on my device he said to keep the insurance and I'll get two months insurance credit by manager on my bill. I still said no and asked to speak to manager. He didn't put manager on phone but said he will remove insurance as "courtesy" this time. Now I check my account and notice that a line has been added to our account without consent. That free SIM card was another line added to my account. for $30/month I would just like to discuss with the manager of this store why shady tactics like this are being done at the store?

Go to the Verizon in Southgate, the sales reps are not interested in helping you unless they get their commission out of it. I went in only looking to trade in my phone for a new one and they were only interested in trying to get me to open up a new line. After I insisted that I only wanted a new phone their attitude completely changed. I left and went to the Verizon in Southgate where I was treated way better and the customer service was excellent.
