Waste of time and gas coming here.
The geek didnt offer anything but buying a new computer or taking it to someone who can diagnose and clean up my computer to get it running better.
I was under the impression that those services were offered seeing as how you advertise that.

They can’t even repair the back glass on an iPhone without shipping it away to Apple for two weeks. Complete waste of time and the “geek squad” rep was extremely condescending.

I had a very bad experience with the Best Buy repair store—not once, but twice. Don’t bring your laptop here for repair; there are plenty of local stores that can fix things quickly and fairly.
First time: I had an LCD connector issue. Best Buy told me it would cost $1,000 because you should replace the motherboard. I decided not to proceed, got my laptop back, and took it to a local shop—they fixed it for just $50. I didn’t leave a bad review then, thinking maybe it was just a mistake by them.
Second time (a year later): I had another laptop with a broken LCD. The laptop worked fine except for the screen, so I just asked them to replace the LCD. Since the local shop was closed on the weekend, I tried Best Buy again. This time, they insisted multiple parts needed to be replaced—keyboard, RAM, and more—just to inflate the cost.
They clearly try to add unnecessary repairs and make the bill much heavier. I will never go back, and I strongly recommend avoiding this place.

I went into the Geek Squad thinking nothing could be done for me. My phone died at T-Mobile and their representative just handed it back to me and said “good luck”.
Martin at the Geek Squad in South Coast Plaza couldn’t have been kinder or more patient with me. My life was on that dead phone. Martin spent so much time with me and actually got enough information off the bad phone that I got my email, my calendar, and most importantly the file with my very sick husband’s medical history. I could not be more grateful.
I have learned to set up a backup in the future!
Thank you again, Martin. You were a life saver during a very trying time.
