So we bought a tablet here 6 months ago, purchased with a Zagg screen protector was told if ever broken I could come back and replace at store. I just came and they refused to replace the screen even with proof and all. Moral of the story they will NOT replace at the store which really since it was $50!

I went into best buy yesterday to have a single 8gb ram stick installed into my laptop and was told by the agent that I needed to get a total membership to do the install which turned out not to be true ( its a single charge of $40 for memory install), and when I came to pick it up today I found out they added all these additional services that weren't mentioned to me or requested by me. I shop at best buy like once every few years I wouldn't have bought the $180 membership if I hadn't been specifically told it was required for me to get the hardware install, all I needed and its even recorded in my service notes was a ram install so it just seems like their geek squad agents might have lied to boost their membership sales. I'm keeping the review at 2 stars at least because I had good interactions with other employees around the store. But it seriously is messed up that I got seemingly lied to about the total membership.

I want to start off by saying the woman at the check out line was very helpful. It's when I was sent over to geek squad that made the trip upsetting. I brought in my monitor due to a dead pixel and being that I have the My BestBuy total protection plan (that costs $180 a year) it would be taken care of easily but was I wrong. The geek squad employee said that he has to send it in the service and when I asked how long it would take he said 2 weeks. On top of it taking 2 weeks, I had to also pay a $60 service fee to send it to the service department. That's a problem because I use my computer for work, being that I work remote and everything is done on my computer. So when I said that 2 weeks is going to be an issue due to work he said there's nothing that can be done, besides buying another monitor and then returning it when mine was either fixed and sent back to me or replaced. It's been a while since I've had to use geek squad but I remember things being done differently or at least a little more accommodating.

Looking for an appliance? Don't bother. The staff member acted likei was an annoyance for him. He kept yawning. When I finally got him to get off his chair to show me something on the floor he ignored all the things I told him I was looking for and just took me to the most expensive frig nearby. When I asked him questions he answered in a condescending tone. I walked out. Next morning I went to Ginno's. They were great. Answered all my questions. I was super pleased. Never again will I even consider Best Buy fir an appliance. Or, frankly, anything else. Service has gone downhill.

Bethany and Kai refused to honor a manufacturer's warranty for an Insignia TV. Insignia provided me with an appointment and clear instructions that should have enabled me to walk out with a replacement device. They also discriminated against my disabled child and refused us service. I tried to call ahead to request accommodations but they never picked up. Today's visit concluded with me explaining discrimination to my child due to the disgusting experience that she had to endure.
2 week Update: My partner has filed an investigation with Best Buy. In the meantime, I am stuck with a faulty TV that doesn't work. I hope the employees are taught the humane way of providing services to people who need accommodations.
