In September, I visited the Best Buy in Burbank to purchase appliances following a major home remodel. I was shopping for a dishwasher and a stove with an oven. My first interaction was with an employee named Mike. Although he was initially pleasant, his demeanor quickly changed. He appeared irritated by my questions, displayed a very negative attitude, and seemed uninterested in helping me. I felt uncomfortable and left the store with my information. A few days later, I returned to the store and unfortunately encountered the same employee again. His attitude had not improved—there was no smile, no willingness to assist, and it felt as though he was simply there to collect a paycheck. I was eventually helped by another employee whose name I do not recall. While she was polite, she lacked sufficient knowledge about the appliances and appeared more focused on completing the sale than providing guidance. I ultimately made the purchase and left the store. However, the delivery experience was extremely disappointing. During delivery, it appears the installers tested the dishwasher. My marble floors had just been renovated and sealed, yet water was left everywhere. I live in a condo, and water leaked from the lobby entrance, through the hallway, and into my home. The situation was chaotic and very stressful. The delivery team never mentioned the issue before leaving, even though I would expect something like this to be documented. I contacted customer service to file a complaint and was told a manager would call me back, but no one ever did. I eventually returned to the Burbank store to report the situation in person. Overall, this experience was extremely disappointing, and I can honestly say that Best Buy’s customer service did not meet my expectations.

Like others have said, be careful and check your boxes to make sure they haven't been opened. I just picked up a "new" mouse which had already been opened and shoved back in the box. I didn't notice until I got home, and I'm not driving 40 minutes back. I shouldve payed less for an open-box item. They're employees are shady and lazy .

I purchased something with an Amex gift card and some cash then 2 hours later returned it because it was the wrong size. At the register the clerk said I was getting $267 back in cash, the manager on the floor ( Friday December 26th around 8:30 pm) came with cash and gave me $217. I brought up the gift card situation and he very smugly told me that he would not be giving me the rest of my refund and that I have to call Amex to sort things out. He told me to call and give them the last 4 numbers that were on the receipt, which were different numbers. I explained to him the situation and I was told it wasn't his problem and that I should get on the phone and figure the situation out myself. He refused to help me in any other way. I know that the last four numbers of the gift card were different from those on the receipt and he told me I just have to give them the number of the card that was used. They had also already thrown that thrash out for the night. Best Buy is not helping me and Amex told me that Best Buy had to give me the refund that this manager refused to give me. This Best Buy stole my money by not telling me that they were refunding my money onto the Amex card that they tossed and that it would be given to me in cash. Warning to anyone else, the manager on the floor ( I wish I got his name) will be extremely rude and will refuse to help you.

Best Buy had sold us a counterfeit item that they promised us to be new. I can't believe such a reputable franchise would be capable of doing so. The manager refused to give me an exchange and refund for my purchase after agreeing to an exchange. Avoid this place at all costs. I'm filing a claim now, to think something like this has happened is frightening and disturbing. Make sure to check your products in store if anything, you never know until it happens to you!

I had a very unpleasant experience at Best Buy. While I was at the phone display, an alarm kept going off — not even from the phones I was touching. A salesperson approached me in a very rude and aggressive tone and asked, “What are you doing?” I told him I wasn’t doing anything. He then said, “Then why does the alarm keep going on?” which felt like a direct accusation. The way he spoke to me was completely disrespectful and made it seem like he was implying I was trying to steal or do something wrong because of the alarm. I told him I didn’t like his tone, but the situation was already uncomfortable and unacceptable. No customer should be treated like a suspect because of a store alarm issue that is clearly not their fault. This behavior is unprofessional, rude, and reflects very poorly on the store. Management seriously needs to address how employees speak to and treat customers.
