Picked up a HDMI cord. Was looking for another different cord thy did not have it on hand had to get it online. But one of the employees helped with that. The HDMI cord looks okay a bit expensive in my opinion for 6 ft. Will update as to how it works out waiting for the cord from online.

Try and call to talk to a human and all you get are limited options from an AI operator. Best Buy just lost a full office setup deal

Gabriel & Jimmy you made my day. I'm a little scatter brained at the moment. There was an issue with my Bose speaker. Without me having to beg, whine or grovel they resolved the issue with class. Now this is customer service extraordinaire'. Merci/Thank you. You guys made my week better. My month better & my year better.

I am rewriting a review I previously posted because recent developments have completely changed my perspective of this store in a very short period of time. In my original review, I wrote that Sin, the manager, was the only staff member who demonstrated a basic level of professionalism. I was wrong. Because his staff did not know how to properly handle my issue, they contacted Sin on his day off. Rather than addressing the situation professionally, he became upset and threatened to withdraw a commitment he had previously made to me after my experience with Geek Squad. After spending thousands of dollars at this store, I was then told that I would need to remove the Geek Squad service I had already paid for and continue paying monthly for phone protection. I was shocked that a commitment that had already been made suddenly appeared to be conditional upon whether I raised concerns about my experience. The situation escalated when staff accused me of being rude because I asked how long I would be expected to stand there holding my sleeping baby without any communication about what was happening. When the employee assisting me finally returned, she informed me that they would not be honouring the commitment Sin had made. Whether he assumed I would not return or simply expected me to accept a different outcome, I cannot say. What I do know is that when I insisted they follow through on what had been promised, staff became upset and reported to Sin that I was being rude to everyone. I disagree with that characterization. I was reacting to poor customer service, a lack of communication, and an unwillingness to honour a commitment that had already been made. Asking reasonable questions while holding a sleeping baby and seeking clarity about a service I had paid for should not be considered rude. What makes this even more disappointing is that my first interaction with Sin occurred when I was already complaining about staff ignoring me and failing to provide assistance in the store. At that time, he apologized and assured me the situation would not happen again. Unfortunately, nothing has changed. I will be contacting Head Office to share my concerns. Based on my experiences, this is not a location I would recommend to parents, caregivers, or anyone who values attentive and respectful customer service. I initially assumed this was the only Best Buy location in Red Deer, but thankfully it is not. I will not be returning to this store, and if Best Buy does not address these ongoing issues, I will be taking my business elsewhere permanently.

I was in this store today, mostly to pick up a wireless gaming headset for my son. The staff were very helpful. One of them did very well in helping me select a pair, and at least two of them asked me if I needed help finding anything. The most fun part was when I noticed an associate was following me at a distance, clearly keeping an eye on me as I browsed through the store. I guessed he was performing loss prevention, and I can’t blame him, the way I was aimlessly wandering around with the new headset box under my arm. After I noticed he seemed to be following me, I tested that theory, and began to move back and forth throughout the store, and sure enough, he followed everywhere I went, close enough to keep an eye on me, but far away enough I didn’t feel bothered. It was adorable when I politely called him out for it. He got so flustered. But he was doing a great job keeping a vigilant eye for possible shoplifters. I had a good laugh on the way home. Keep up the good work buddy! 😃
