  I purchased a full-size Bosch family refrigerator with an ice maker from Best Buy in Lethbridge on Sunday, August 30, 2026, because our old LG refrigerator at home had stopped working. I was advised by a Best Buy representative that installing the refrigerator myself could affect the warranty if something went wrong. Even though the installation seemed simple, mainly connecting the water line, I did not want to take the risk. I therefore paid CAD $219.99 for Best Buy’s Refrigerator Waterline Installation service, including removal of the old fridge and installation of the new one. The installation was booked for Tuesday, September 8, between 7:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., with the installer able to arrive at any time during that five-hour window. I received both an email and a phone call confirming the appointment. The new fridge was successfully delivered to my house on Saturday, September 5, which was great. On September 8, I cleared my whole morning and even kept my four-year-old daughter home from daycare because the installer could arrive at any time during the five-hour window. I was concerned they might arrive while I was on my way to or from daycare. Unfortunately, no one showed up, and I received no phone call, email, or message about any delay or cancellation. As a result, I spent the entire five-hour appointment window waiting at home for a service that never happened. This was a significant waste of my time. I understand that delays can happen. My main concern is the lack of communication. A simple call or message would have allowed me to change my plans instead of waiting all morning for a no-show. The delivery went well, but the installation experience was disappointing. I hope Best Buy can improve its communication and coordination with installation contractors and better respect customers’ time. I am now waiting for Best Buy to arrange another installation appointment, but after this experience, my confidence that the installer will arrive as scheduled is unfortunately very low. I am also concerned that I may have to set aside another five-hour window and lose another morning or afternoon if the same thing happens again.

  I purchased a Lenovo Laptop in store. They explained it came with a Stylus and it needed to be ordered in which was fine. As well I need to purchase a new Microsoft Home Office for $200. I said I already had a subscription. He said I need this or it won’t work. I received an email a couple of days later that the laptop was in. I went in to get it and it took 45 min for them to find it. I was then told a stylus is purchased separately. So today I went to return the Microsoft subscription and was told once it’s been sold it can’t be returned. I then asked where in the store I find the stylus to purchase? I was told somewhere in the middle? So I looked for 10 minutes and asked someone only to be told “oh those you have to order on line”. I really like Best Buy but this definitely was not my Best Buy!!!

  Sofia the sales specialist at the front counter was so professional and knowledgeable. If you need to buy a phone, a smart watch or a pair of headphones, this is the place if go!! It's called best buy for a reason 😉
