    My wife and I visited this location recently to buy a soundbar, but the customer service was a major letdown. We asked for advice and were directed to an employee in that department. When I tried to compare his recommendation against a model we were already considering within our budget, he dismissively told me, "You asked me what I think." It felt incredibly rude and unprofessional. To make matters worse, other staff members were just standing around the entrance and didn't seem interested in helping anyone. We ended up using Gemini AI on our phones to do the research ourselves while standing in the aisle. We bought the model we originally wanted, which works great, but Best Buy really needs to review how their staff engages with customers. We won't be looking for advice here again.

    I took my computer into Geek Squad @ the SkyView location North Edmonton, AB to have files and photos downloaded to clear up space on my laptop, the Geek Squad tech - Aariv, did just that however the store closed and we ran out of time so he asked me to come back which I did and dealt with the same Tech - Aariv where we discussed and thought it was best to have my computer wiped to get the most storage back onto the laptop, it was clearly discussed and written on the requisition to make sure all files backed up, and to leave certain apps on my laptop specifically, Microsoft Word / Excel well he wiped it all clean removing even what was to be left on my computer now I am unable to edit my covering letters or resume due to this error. I am possibly going to miss out on interviews or better yet a job because the tech did not take the time to read over the notes on the req. or care about their customers needs. I have requested a call back from the manager of Geek Squad from the Complaint line because you can't call them directly even though there is a direct # it just goes to VM, to inform the manager of this mistake on the techs error and to also request the programs be restored at no cost to me - for it was not my error

    Really enjoyed my experience there yesterday. When I walked in to look at laptops I was greeted right away and asked if I needed a hand. (Only once which I appreciate because I hate when sales people pester you) I walked around and looked at laptops and decided to go do some research on them before purchasing. I had found the laptop I wanted online and it was cheaper than best buys sale price, so I reached out to the online customer support and they said they wouldnt price match it in store... I decided to go back to the store to ask a sales associate/manager and they actually had no issues with the price match at all. So they dropped price to the price I found online and have ordered it in for me! I was able to save $150 on the original price of the laptop which was such a deal. The sales associate and manager (not sure the names) were super nice and easy to deal with and made the process a breeze! I also need a new tv so when I go back to pick up my laptop, I will also be buying a new tv just because my experience was so great with the in-store associates!
