I'd like express my extreme disappointment regarding a recent service experience I had at your store after purchasing a new gaming computer on November 13th, 2025 The issue involved my mouse, which was failing to click on items properly, despite the cursor appearing on the screen. The click function was intermittent, sometimes working and sometimes failing completely. I brought the machine back to the store within a week of purchase. When I presented the issue, the staff, particularly the Geek Squad technician, were immediately defensive. They dismissed the problem, even claiming that online discussions detailing the exact same issue were irrelevant because the staff had not personally encountered it before. During the diagnosis, the technician plugged in his own mouse, which immediately worked correctly. I pointed out that this confirmed the mouse itself was the likely issue, or at least a simple starting point for the solution. The technician, however, refused to consider the possibility that my mouse was defective, insisting that it "couldn't possibly be the mouse" and that there were "a million possibilities." This defensiveness made any constructive diagnostic process impossible. A manager (or possibly the owner) then became involved. While initially seeming reasonable, the manager then changed the focus, claiming the problem was related to my internet connection being active when the computer was turned on. When I attempted to follow this new line of logic by asking what specific problems an active internet connection could cause, both the technician and the manager became obstinate and refused to answer my question. At this point, I became very frustrated and stated that I was getting emotional and needed to leave the store with my computer. The Geek Squad technician then inappropriately escalated the simple customer exchange by kicking me out of the store. I even had to demand that he return my power cord. After returning home, I connected a different mouse to the computer, and the machine now works perfectly, confirming that the original mouse was indeed the source of the issue—the simple solution the technician vehemently denied. I subsequently called Best Buy headquarters, and I appreciate that they listened to my complaint in a constructive and de-escalatory manner. My core grievance is that the Geek Squad employee refused to accept a simple, obvious solution and instead chose to escalate a minor customer service request to the point of verbally accosting and expelling me from the store. This incident was an "amazingly terrible" failure of customer service, especially considering your advertised "full protection coverage."

Buy a lot of stuff from this store. A bit pricey but that’s to be expected in this economy. Abigail checked me out here one day and was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

Jerry set up my phone in less than 10 minutes and gave me tips about how to use my device properly. Late on a Friday too!
