Five stars so this actually gets noticed. I’d like to thank this Apple Store for redefining what “professional service” means. After a battery replacement performed by Apple, the phone was not properly sealed. The result? • Water entered the phone • The screen turned a lovely shade of green • The camera also suffered water damage Impressive efficiency — all from a simple battery replacement. The real highlight, though, was dealing with the supervisor afterward. Despite this being an obvious result of Apple’s own repair mistake, I was informed that: • They wouldn’t repair it • They wouldn’t take responsibility • And the attitude was as unpleasant as it was confident Apparently, Apple’s policy or at least that guy’s policy is: If we damage your phone, congratulations — it’s now your problem. The experience perfectly balanced premium branding with premium blame-shifting. If you’re looking to test your phone’s water resistance after an official repair, this is definitely the place to go. Truly an eye-opening lesson in customer service.

On Friday January 2 my daughter had her battery changed at the Metrotown Apple store. However they did not have the battery for my XS. The agent was able to locate one at their Guildford store and made arrangements with Guildford to keep it aside for me for the next day to be installed. With this review I am giving my kudos and thanks to this agent at Metrotown. He may be interested to know that his good intentions panned out negatively. My experience with the Guildford store on January 3 subsequently brought me immense pain as described in my google review on that store. I’m in my 80’s and recently had major surgery. My phone was my lifeline. I wish Apple would adopt the policy of showing compassion with priority treatment of customers who are undeniably in their last leg of the their lives

We had a disappointing experience at the Apple Store Metrotown. My wife and I went there because of an issue with her iPhone. The staff member who came to help us was impatient and immediately said the phone needed to be reset, without properly checking or diagnosing the problem, and without giving any clear timeline or explanation. We were not comfortable resetting the phone and potentially losing data, so we decided to leave. The next day, we visited a small mobile clinic, and the technician fixed the issue in seconds, without resetting the phone at all. This clearly showed that a factory reset was unnecessary. It’s important that people who are responsible for troubleshooting actually check the phone properly instead of offering a reset as the first and only solution. Resetting a device should be the last option, not the default response

I had a very disappointing experience at the Apple Metrotown store in Burnaby. I went in to trade my iPhone 13 and buy a new phone. I was clearly told my trade-in value would be $280, even after I pointed out a visible scratch on the screen. The staff assured me this wouldn’t matter for an iPhone 13. I paid the full price for the new phone plus a temporary $280 deposit, with the understanding that after transferring my data (which took almost two hours), I would return my old phone and get the $280 back. After the transfer was completed, I was suddenly told the trade-in value was $0. Changing the offer after the purchase and data transfer is misleading and unprofessional. This is not the level of transparency or customer service I expect from Apple. Unfortunately, this experience seriously affected my trust in Apple and specifically this store.

This was hands down one of the worst retail experiences I’ve had. The staff at this Apple Store were rude, dismissive, and completely uninterested in helping. I was trying to find a product and no one offered assistance. I had to roam around the store just to figure things out myself. When it was time to pay, I again had to hunt for someone willing to help me. At the pickup counter, the staff member flat-out said he “can’t help” and told me to “find someone else” instead of directing me to the right person. No ownership, no basic courtesy. Things got even worse when I tried to redeem my Apple e-gift card. It wasn’t working, and the employee who finally agreed to process my payment had no idea how to redeem it. His solution? “I can’t help.” That’s it. I then had to track down the floor manager, who also didn’t understand the situation and told me to call Apple Care. Let that sink in — I am physically standing inside an Apple Store, and they’re asking me to call Apple for help. No accountability, no problem-solving, no customer service. Just employees passing the issue around and refusing to help. This has happened every time i visit this location For a company that prides itself on customer experience, this store completely failed. I left frustrated, wasting time, and genuinely shocked at how poorly this was handled. Do better.
