- VCVivan Nguyen Chi5 days ago5.0Came in today at 530pm, so it was less crowded. 1h before that, I was on the phone with Apple Support to put in an urgent order for the iPhone 17 Pro Max (1TB, silver) to be picked up as a gift for my friend. The iPhone product got paid over the phone and I headed to the Apple Store La Encantada. The service guy welcomed me, greeted me, and directed me to the Apple Genius bar and I just waited there until it was time for the check-in time and to pick up the phone. I also (on a whim) treated myself with a new Magic Keyboard (long overdue to replace my old 10yr old ancient cable-bound Magic Keyboard...). Everything went super fast, super simple, super easy, staff was helpful, nice, fun to talk to, friendly.

The store is a bright white temple to Design Excellence with Leading-edge Technology. Friendly clergy are everywhere. I surrendered my iPhone. "Your phone will be ready by 3 pm tomorrow". This should have been made clear when I made my appointment. In the end I had to wait in an empty store until 20 minutes after closing. I waited 4 hours and 20 minutes for what should be a 30 minute repair. Why even have appointments?

It will barely hold a charge, it’s glitchy, and randomly turns things off. Mind you, this is only within the last 2 months, it’s been getting worse. As a college kid, I depend a lot on my phone, but I have to now bring a charger with me everywhere, which becomes frustrating. It does at work for me, and I don’t have time to charge it while working at a hospital. I love Apple and its products, but I’ve become increasingly disappointed in this phone.

As soon as I stepped inside, a kind employee welcomed me with a smile, and I had the pleasure of chatting with another team member named Joshua.There was no wait at all! Our conversation felt genuine and personable. Joshua not only helped me with my purchase but also made my day brighter by asking about my workplace and what I'm up to. As someone who also enjoys working with customers, he did an amazing job. Definitely an experience to remember! 😊
