  Scheduled the free appointment after adopting Rocky from AZHS. The original appointment was in the afternoon. After getting a text asking to confirm, I did. However, I didn't receive a response. I ended up canceling that appointment for a morning appointment. I waited 2 weeks for this morning appointment. VCA sent 2 texts the day before the appointment asking to confirm. I didn't confirm until the day of the appointment. Never received a response. We went to the appointment to find out that they "gave the appointment away".because they sent me "several" texts and voicemail. I do NOT have any messages in my voicemail from them confirming OR canceling the appointment, as well as, nothing in text format. I wasted time, and gas, which is HELLA expensive. I was told I could wait as a walk in until a doctor was available. And the tech didn't know when one would be, so deuces. Screw yall.

  I can’t recommend University Animal Hospital enough! Dr. Garza was amazing with my Doberman, Rocky. She did an excellent job on his surgery, answered all my questions, and was so kind and reassuring. The entire staff has been incredibly friendly, helpful, and caring. From start to finish, we felt supported and confident in Rocky’s care. Thank you to everyone at the clinic for making such a stressful experience so smooth and comforting!

  I should've posted this back during the holidays of 2025 and feel remiss for not doing so. During the holidays, I had to take my Chihuahua mix Nicky to the hospital for hacking and gagging. Thankfully, Dr. Koch fit Nicky in after the online reservation system allowed me to schedule an appointment in error. Immediately I was able to see that Dr. Koch knew what he was doing and within minutes diagnosed Nicky with kennel cough. (My wife and I had adopted Nicky from the shelter in early November 2025). Dr. Koch prescribed medication for Nicky and over time, the kennel cough went away. I told my wife that Dr. Koch knew exactly what he did as a veterinarian and that I wanted to bring all 3 of our dog babies to VCA University hospital. His compassion towards Nicky and respect towards me was superb and I appreciated his continued follow-up. Thank you Dr. Koch!!! Please forgive me for my late review!

  Only VCA to trust with your babies! Their medical director, Dr. Rudolph fosters such a great atmosphere here. Helping to ensure our sylvia got the care she needs even when her regular vet was out, and the appointment type was the wrong one. She didn’t turn us away and diligently pointed us towards a care path to bring Sylvie girl back up to her usual self. Trust me- this is the VCA for your cats.
