There was only one employee working, Shawn, who was helping another couple. He told us it would take only a few minutes before he could assist us. We politely said we could wait and quietly sat down nearby. Unfortunately, Shawn completely ignored us for over 30 minutes. Finally, I asked how much longer it would take, since all we needed was to pick up the phone. Instead of giving us a clear answer, Shawn responded with a dismissive attitude, saying there was nothing he could do and repeating that we would just have to wait longer—exactly what he had said when we first entered. His tone was rude and unprofessional. As long-time Verizon customers (over 10 years), we were extremely disappointed. In other locations, we have never been treated this way. What made the experience worse was the feeling that Shawn’s dismissive behavior was targeted—my wife and I, as Asian customers, felt disrespected and marginalized. The indifference and lack of courtesy made us very uncomfortable. After years of loyalty to Verizon, this incident has made me seriously reconsider whether I will continue using its services. No customer should be ignored or treated with disrespect, especially when they have made a purchase and simply need a scheduled pickup.
