My dog has been a patient for over a year at the vet and after my experience this evening I had his records transferred and will not be returning. My dog had an injury at boarding and was severely limping when I picked him up, I called VCA McCormick to make an appointment, I was informed I couldn’t get an appointment until Monday….its Wednesday, my dog can’t walk. I was then told I couldn’t bring him in for an ER visit and pay the ER fee and wait at least an hour even though I’m a patient. I still ended up bringing him in, he was taking back and I was asked if the could give him a pain shot I agree and we are the only ones there. 30-40 minutes later another dog comes in and is in critical condition, I’m then told that dog takes priority which fine understandable, but I ask had my dog even been said yet and I’m then told yes and Dr. Burne's was “just about to see call me back to tell me the diagnose before the critical dog came in”. I ask if someone else can tell me what’s happened with my dog since they had him for at least 30 minutes and I’m told no only Dr. Burne's but I could continue to wait but another critical dog was on the way so it’s be a few hours” - either the lied and my dog was never seen or I don’t know what but either way I asked them to transfer my dogs records and we will not be returning. This also follows another horrible experience when my dog had anal gland surgery and when I picked him up post-op his cone and fur around his mouth was covered in crusted vomit, they had him in their care and gave him to me covered in dried vomit. My review may or may not sway your experience but after repeatedly bad experiences we are done and I simply don’t trust my pet in their care at all. And they are over priced, even the office manager agreed it was bad to charge current patients ER prices when they can’t accommodate appointments.

Dr Kendra Roberts is wonderful. I came here because VCA hospitals partner with the AZ Humane Society, where I recently adopted a kitten from. They provide a free wellness visit for newly adopted pets (within 30 days of adoption.) All around great experience. Office staff were pleasant and we were seen right away. Dr Roberts was kind and professional. She answered all my questions and spent a good while with us. Never felt rushed as I’ve experienced at other vets. I appreciated her honesty when asked what kind of dental care she suggested. She did not upsell expensive and instead advised to keep up with dental exams and recommended the plaque-off food additive that she uses for her own pet (which was very affordable at Chewy.) Although it’s a bit of a drive I’ll be using this vet again and again. Thanks!

I have been taking my pup Chloe there for grooming with Ericka for years and she is amazing. She always does an amazing job and takes such good care of her. The ladies at the front are always so sweet to her too. Everyone there is kind and attentive. Chloe has been seen there by a few of the vets and every time my questions and concerns have always been answered and Chloe has always been taken good care of. Appreciate everyone there and all you do!

Our dog got her tongue stuck in a bone. I was dreading a long night at the vet, fortunately, there was only one couple ahead of us. The staff got us in and out in record time. They were extremely friendly and professional. The facility was also super clean so we felt comfortable in the waiting room.

I was referred (today) to VCA by my dog’s regular vet for emergency care. Dr Sullivan was very thorough and caring, the staff was great, and I can recommend VCA without reservations. If you need emergency care for your pet, trust VCA on McCormick Ranch.
