I visited the Apple Store at approximately 10:20 AM intending to purchase an iPhone 17 Pro Max and trade in my current device. I was prepared to pay $1,000 in cash toward the purchase. Upon arrival, I explained what I needed, but instead of being assisted, I was told to stand off to the side near a table and wait. While I was waiting, another customer came in with the exact same request—purchasing an iPhone 17 Pro Max with a trade-in. I couldn’t help but notice the difference in how we were treated. The staff immediately engaged with him, asking detailed follow-up questions such as what color phone he wanted, reviewing his trade-in on the spot, and walking him through the process. Meanwhile, I remained waiting without any updates. After about 10 minutes, I saw that they had already begun helping him with his trade-in and setting up his purchase, even though I had arrived earlier. Only then did someone come over to me and say I needed to wait for a specific employee named Stacy, who never actually came to assist me. Eventually, another employee helped me, and while he was polite, the overall experience still felt inconsistent. What stood out most was the clear difference in service. The other customer was offered accessories, given guidance around the store, and received attentive, proactive support. I was not asked about phone color, accessories, or any additional needs. There was no effort to enhance my purchase or make me feel like a valued customer. Just spend your 1000$ and get out. Didn’t offer a bag or anything. Additionally, I felt uncomfortable due to the way security repeatedly watched me throughout my visit. It made me feel singled out and unwelcome. Like I was just going to snatch a iPhone and run out. No customer should feel that way while simply trying to make a purchase. By the end of the experience, I was so frustrated that I chose not to buy any accessories in-store, even though I initially planned to purchase a phone case and AirPods. Instead, I left and bought those items on Amazon. Where I should have bought the phone from. Overall, this experience was disappointing and did not reflect the level of customer service I expected. I hope the store takes steps to ensure all customers are treated equally, respectfully, and with the same level of attention and care.

I'm a longtime Apple user and have always had a great in store experience. When I had a problem with my online order with an in store pickup, Daphne and Fernando made the online error right. Thanks to both of them. I highly recommend the Scottsdale Quarter Apple store.

I stopped by the Genius Bar at the Apple Store in Scottsdale Quarter today and had a great experience. Krista (I may be spelling that wrong) helped me resolve an issue related to a recent email migration to an Exchange server that was causing problems on both my MacBook Pro and my iPhone. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly efficient. Within about 10 minutes she diagnosed the issue, fixed the settings, and had everything syncing perfectly across my devices. It’s refreshing to work with an Apple Genius who is that professional, helpful, and respectful of your time. Experiences like this remind me why switching from Windows to Apple years ago was one of the best technology decisions I’ve made. Thank you, Krista, for the outstanding service.

Don't bother for purchases. TLDR; The employees ignore you and make you feel unwelcome. I ordered a new Mac and decided I should pick it up in store because it would be convenient and I drive right past it all the time. Arrived in the store and couldn't figure out where to go pick up my order. After about 5 min and employee came up and asked me my name. After some confusing conversation he understood that I just needed to pick and order up. He sent me "past the display wall to the tables and they can help you". Went where I was told, stood there for 10 minutes until an employee acknowledged me and I asked how to pick up my order. I was sent back to the front again. Waited another 5 minutes before and employee acknowledged me again then 5 minutes for them to bring it out. I left with the expectation that I won't go back to the store again. If I need to make a purchase, it's online only and have it shipped.

I’ve always enjoyed going into the Apple Store. Normally you’re greeted right away by multiple team members, and the energy is welcoming and organized. This visit felt a little different. When I walked in, the usual greetings weren’t there. The store felt a bit chaotic and it wasn’t clear where to go or who to speak with. I stood there for a while before finally getting help from a woman at the back table who was able to check me in. I had arrived a little early for my appointment, so I expected to wait, but at that point I wasn’t feeling very confident about how the visit was going to go. When my appointment time came up, my name was called. There happened to be another person in the store with the same first name as me, and the Apple team member initially walked over to him. Greg was about to verify the customer’s name, but before he had the chance, the other gentleman immediately began explaining his issue and talking through what he needed help with. Greg patiently listened and waited for him to finish. Once he was able to verify the name, he realized it was not the correct customer. He politely let the gentleman know he was still in the help queue and that someone would assist him shortly. He then stepped over to me, confirmed that I was the correct customer, and introduced himself as Greg. From that point on, the experience completely turned around. Greg greeted me warmly, asked about the issue I was having, and immediately got to work. I came in because the light seal on my Apple Vision Pro wasn’t fitting correctly. He walked through the troubleshooting process with me, went above and beyond to make sure the problem was resolved, and helped me get the correct light seal swapped out. Because of his help and knowledge, I actually ended up purchasing another accessory for my Apple Vision Pro during the visit. Greg is exactly the type of employee that keeps customers loyal to Apple. If Apple continues hiring people like him, they’ll continue to succeed for a long time. Greg, thank you for going above and beyond, taking the time to troubleshoot the issue, and making sure I left with a great solution.
