  they fixed up my major issues from the latest microsoft update. i have had geek squad for years now and i wont go without their help!

  Have a couple of issues to check out with our Best Buy purchased Smart TV. After trying FOUR times to submit this request online, the request would not submit. Something wrong with the website - go figure - tech experts and all. Wasted 30 minutes on that. Then I call in, have to give all the same information all over again which takes another 10-15 minutes, then told the cost is $99.99 that I have to pay today before they even come out, I get put on hold so someone can take the payment and stay on hold for over 20 minutes. I finally hung up in complete exasperation. I wouldn't use Geek Squad now if you paid me, how does a company like this stay in business?

  I made an online purchase, HP Envy 17334 Touch Screen Laptop. When I picked up my new laptop, I decided to try out Geek Squad for the first time to see if there was any hope for my old Sony Laptop, which was an excellent lap top back in the day! Well, I thought I was pretty tech savvy and was not confident that Geek Squad could resolve my slow laptop problem. I originally brought in my laptop to have the start button fixed and to wipe out the hard drive and put back to default setting. The employee that took my order showed me how to bypass the broken start up button, that alone made me happy and saved me money since my Sony laptop would have been shipped out to fix the start button. Then the employee (I wish I knew his name) carefully assessed my problem since I requested to have the hard drive wiped out and losing data and programs. He then suggested I consider having the laptop cleaned up and if that is not satisfactory then I still have the option to have the hard drive wiped out - all included in the same price of $99.00. I picked up my laptop a few days later, employee started up my computer and provided details about the repair and told me if I was not satisfied, bring it back, no charge, and they will set the laptop back to original setting. I am so happy that I listened to these professionals, not only did they save my data and programs, the old laptop runs like the day I purchased it. Every time I use my repaired laptop I think two things -- why didn't I take this to Geek Squad a year ago when the problem started and secondly "I will tell everyone to go to Geek Squad with their computer problems." I could not be happier! My laptop was a mess and now it is perfect. Thank you Geek Squad.

  They don't know a whole lot about computers, considering they're geek squad. Have had them easily rip-off friends and family for things that were relatively easy fixes.
