I shattered my phone and made an appointment to buy a new one. The Manager here talked me in to going through insurance to have it fixed within 2 hours (which I found hard to believe), and it worked. They saved me $600 and had everything up and running very quickly!

Tre, the manager at this branch, is an absolute rockstar!! After app. four hours (over two days) on the phone with customer support not being able to solve an issue, he fixed it for us in under 15 minutes. He also took care of setting up my dad’s new WiFi. After more than 12 years with Verizon, I was seriously considering switching cell phone companies but Tre saved the day and earned my continued loyalty! We also appreciated Veronica’s warm welcome and customer service…. Tre, thank you for turning a very frustrating situation into a win!

This is a long post, so be prepared :)
We were long time Verizon users (10+ years) but moved to T-Mobile because at the time, Verizon did not offer home Internet in our area. My husband is a huge sports fan so high speed streaming was important to him. A few weeks ago we did a random check and realized that home Internet was being offered so we made our way to this location (on Cactus) to switch.
Like many other have said, we spent a few hours in the store working with Amanda who was super nice. We were incredibly thorough with our questions as my husband is a "measure twice, cut once" kind of guy. We got 2 phones, home Internet and requested 2 extensions which Amanda told us would be free, we just had to call 611 to request them. Amanda assured us that everything was returnable within 30 days so we went ahead. Once we agreed to a plan and chose our new phones, we then asked; "Ok, so what if this doesn't work out for us?". Amanda repeated the return policy and we felt secure with our decision.
We went home and hooked up the Internet and a day or 2 later, we called 611 to request the 2 extenders we knew we would need. After about 20 automatic hangups from Verizons' abysmal interactive phone servicing, I found their chat feature on the app. When I finally got an agent to call me, we learned that not only were the extenders not "free", but we could not even get them due to our plan. We had made it clear to Amanda that we would need these as our home is 2200sq ft with computers and TV not super close to each other. With the new information that we could not get extenders and the incredibly poor picture quality, we decided to return our items a week later and reinstate our service with T-Mobile.
When we returned to the store, Amanda was not on shift and a nice gentleman helped us (sorry, forgot his name). While we were in the process of cancelling our account, he let us know that there will be a $50 PER PHONE restocking fee! We had no idea about this despite having been incredibly thorough and detailed in asking Amanda questions prior to switching. When we said that we never heard about a restocking fee, the representative brought in the manager and here's where it gets good.....or worse, depending on your point of view.
The manager, Victor, after complaining about the unknown fee told us; "It's in your contract" which we know is the ultimate "it wasn't OUR fault that you didn't read your contract" excuse. He also said; "Amanda is new. How can she tell you what she did t know?". This is when my husband, who has spent his lifetime as a sales leader nearly blew a gasket. He said; "If you are putting people on the floor who are not properly trained and who not once, not twice, but THREE times neglect to mention a restocking fee, is that on you or me? As a leader of people, do you not take responsibility for what your team says and does, particularly in the face of asking the same question (return policy) repeatedly???". Victor's response was canned with no empathy other than to imply that is was entirely our fault.
So here we are, out $100 for nothing. It is incredibly sad that we have reached this moment in corporate apathy. We were misinformed by a representative of this company about the "no hassle return " and the availability of the equipment that we knew we needed to make their product function properly. I'm not saying that we should not have read the 20 page contract, I'm saying that has we been given the proper information from the get go, we could have made an informed decision and we would have stayed with T-Mobile.
Please do better!
Any potential customers, READ YOUR CONTRACT unless you have money to throw away.....you have been warned!
