    Since it’s illegal to charge a fee for using a credit card, this business has decided to charge $3 for paying with cash instead. Not only does this unfairly target older adults who often prefer cash or checks, but the fee isn’t even recorded on receipts—making it hidden and deceptive. Passing credit card processing costs onto customers in this way is exploitation, and I’ll be filing a formal complaint with the Attorney General to address this predatory practice.
