Drove to pick up a high end receiver, was a pretty far drive but seemed worth it for an open box (excellent) deal. Ive had luck with these in the past. When arrived and product was checked it was missing all the volume knobs. Clearly people arnt doing their job here, it should be listed as open box fair as it is missing components and obvious ones at that. Very frustrating and a waste of a day.

We have ordered a new refrigerator and asked for the old one to be hauled. When the time came for the delivery, the guys showed up and measured the doorways etc. But as soon as they saw the old refrigerator which was to be hauled away, which was a GE subzero unit, they immediately stated that they can't even touch it and stated that it was company policy not to haul away subzero units and we have to find a third party to take it away. Then we asked if they can install the new refrigirator without taking away the old one and they said yes. So we moved the refrigirator away but of course since the water needs to be connected to the new one, it had to be disconnected from the old one. When they saw this, the guys said "I can't touch it" and gave us an ultimatum to get the old fridge hauled away before installing or they would take the new one away and cancel the order. Then I asked for his name because I was fully decided in writing a complaint and wanted to state whom gave me the information about subzero company policy. As soon as I asked for his name, he raised his voice and tried to gaslight us by saying that we were very rude to him and he was getting out of this house and he didn't have to deliver anything to us and just took the new fridge that we paid for and were waiting for a week.
After he left we filed a complaint via phone and decided to go to the store to talk to the store manager about the incident. There Alex talked to us instead of the manager. At first he was very positive and said that the hauling wasn't a problem for subzeros. He couldn't understand why the new unit wasn't installed and apologized for the treatment we recieved. He went to the back to sort out the problem and when he came back 45 min. later, his demenour was changed and practically said that what happened today was just. He could do nothing but put a new order in place which was to be delivered in a week to ten days, and said the installment can only take place after the old fridge was removed from the spot.
Of course we didn't renew the order, and tomorrow I am going back there to cancel my total tech membership. I am also going to cancel my best buy credit card.
As for the fridge we want to buy and desperately need because our old fridge aka subzero is dead, we just went to lowes from there and ordered exactly the same one to be delivered on friday.
As a result, I have paid for two refrigerators, I have no new refrigerator and subzero is standing in the middle of the kitchen and kitchen counters are full of groceries. So who is the mistreated victim here?
In professional businesses the list of the managers and their contact information is out in the open so complaints like these can reach them. Otherwise, these kinds of incidents will get lost at the lower level never reaching the managerial level. I highly recommend Corie Barry to make the managerial contacts reachable in the future for the customers who have been wronged and care enough to solve problems. We may be one customer they lost today but tomorrow it can be thousands. DO NOT SHARE AUTAMATED ANSWERS. THIS IS RIDICULOUS.
