  I could not be happier with the care that my dog Korra has received here. When I first came in my dog struggled with really bad reactivity, would lunge and bark at the staff. She was hard to handle, wouldn’t take treats and was terrified out of her mind. It shows that from the first visit- staff have left the most amazing impression. We went in today and with the previous recommendations, a lot of hard work and love it is as if I have a different dog. Their care from the start has been absolutely fantastic. I am so impressed by how the staff interact with my dog and accommodate for her needs. From the Vet to the techs and everyone in between -everyone I have worked with has been lovely.

  We have nothing but wonderful things to say about VCA Alaska Pet Care. Every member of their team is genuinely kind and clearly loves the animals they care for, which is something we haven’t experienced at any other vet. Our 10‑pound dachshund mix is always treated like family, and Dr. Mandy Seymour has been an especially wonderful veterinarian—compassionate, thorough, and truly invested in her wellbeing. Most recently, our girl began vomiting uncontrollably, and the Pet ER confirmed she had a foreign object in her GI tract and recommended surgery, which wasn’t an option for us. As soon as VCA opened, we brought her in hoping for another solution. They took her back immediately, examined her, gave her IV fluids, and sent us home with high‑fiber food to help her pass the object naturally. Thankfully, it worked, and she’s now back to her happy, normal self. This wasn’t our first emergency with them either—they’ve cared for her when she injured herself as a puppy and when she once ate vitamin D. Every single time, they’ve been quick, compassionate, and fair with their pricing. VCA Alaska Pet Care is truly the best vet in Anchorage, and we wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone who wants their pet treated like a beloved member of the family.

  VCA is absolutely amazing! From the front desk girls to the vets, they are caring and kind. They have treated all our pets and have accommodated us in urgent situations. Dr. Reece especially was helpful and incredibly kind when our dog needed back to back surgeries. I can't say enough great things about VCA. If you want your pets treated like family and with exceptional care, this is the place for you!

  Oh my goodness, after a not-so-great experience with my rescue puppy at another clinic, I moved him over to VCA Alaska Pet Care Animal Hospital and was not disappointed! The front desk staff is so friendly and doled out treats during our "happy visit," and Dr. Woodward was so patient and good at handling my outgoing but sensitive guy, helping to set him up for better future vet visits.
