My husband and I went shopping at this location and left in fear instead. As we moved around the store looking at different items we noticed we had been getting followed by a guy with a hood on. When we started paying more attention to him I had locked eyes with him and my husband and I started to get really bad vibes. We felt really scared and so we went to the front to tell the staff about what’s going on and they said it was their security. A person experiencing homelessness is way less scary and intimidating than their security. As a POC being followed by a security guard dressed in plain clothes, hood on, following us is triggering. it also doesn’t make me feel good as a customer to be followed around.. what did you think I was going to do? This locations loss prevention tactic needs to be re addressed as we should’ve never felt that scared in a store whilst shopping! I don’t want to return, that was triggering especially when you don’t know what a customer has been through or what they experienced in their day. Head office needs to improve their loss prevention and think about if their approach is trauma informed when doing this to customers. Won’t be back. I feel profiled, I feel scared and just thinking about how I felt in that moment is traumatic.

Best Buy has very similar items in all of their stores. But the reason this store gets five stars is the service. The gentleman running the electronics and camera area was excellent

I sympathize with the struggles of any downtown retailer in a city like Edmonton but this store's loss prevention strategy seems to be to assume that everyone is a shoplifter and should be treated accordingly. I've visited the store twice recently, spending several hundred dollars, and left feeling insulted by the heavy-handed and totally transparent confrontational approach to customer service. I won't be going back.

Employees at this location followed my buddy and I around the whole time, like they weren't even trying to hide the fact that they thought we were trying to steal stuff. The older Indian woman approached us and outright asked us if we were buying anything, proceeded to actually help us, but she asked us what we were looking for when we came in (pointed us in a random direction that wasnt actually the location - we were looking for a dashcam and an adaptor and she literally told us to find someone over there while she was just standing at the desk). For context my buddy and I are indigenous. So I'll definitely avoid shopping here, and if you're a visible minority, be mentally prepared to be FOLLOWED and questioned without actually being helped. Really hate to make this kinda review but the fact that it was so blatant just doesn't sit right with me.

Seemed more focused on selling an extended warranty instead of the actual product. Stranglely enough they have 5 tills but not a single person working the tills and no self checkout either. Just have to wait at the checkout by yourself until the store decides you are worthy and they staff a checkout lane. Made stranger by the fact that the staff members standing around and chatting outnumbered the number of customers in the store. Overall I remembered why I hadn't been to a bestbuy in 10 years...
