The Knight Transportation Dallas terminal started with humble beginnings in a doublewide trailer on a 15-acre dirt parking lot with concrete strips for trailer drops. In 2008, construction began on a permanent terminal, and by March 2009 the new facility was completed. In April 2009, we moved into the new location, giving drivers access to improved amenities including a driver lounge, showers, TV, and laundry. Four months later, the shop and fuel island opened, making Dallas a fully functional terminal.
Today, the Dallas terminal brings together our Dry, Refrigerated, and Shop teams as one strong, family-oriented group committed to excellence and supporting one another.
