  I ONLY give 2 stars because the helpers that were hired were very helpful. however this was my first army move from someone other than my self, and all items described were noticeably placed in roughly the same category of "owner disassembled damaged all around" to were it'll be difficult to make any claims on the items that actually showed up broken and the missing items that have now arrived. ultimately this is my fault for not making sure reeds workers accurately annotated conditions. but please be warned and make sure your paperwork reads 100% accurate because it seems as though they'll try to slide what they can in without you noticing. (as an example my BRAND NEW washer and dryer set that they packed was listed as follows "top-side-bottom-scratched rubbed stained soiled faded rusted bent dented badly worn; disassembled by owner, mechanical condition unknown") please be warned ya'll. pay attention so they don't get you like they did me.

  If you care at all about your things, you will look elsewhere for a moving company. In a combined 41 years of military service between me and the wife, and over 20 military moves, this has been by far THE WORST experience, with the highest number of broken items we have ever experienced! And sadly we are not even done going through our boxes. Its so much, that we are considering legal action due to the financial loss. I would rate it a zero if I could. I would add photos of all the broken items, but there are too many for this review!

  Used Reads for our military move mid June. My first impression of the packers was not good. They were rude from the start. They packed one day loaded next. We got our HHG at our new base and we had way more broken items than we thought we would. Our 75 inch TV was among the items that were broke. One of the packers threw a metal tv stand in the box with the tv and it cracked the front. They also damaged two dressers, broke my record player and they broke a ceramic collectable that was very sentimental. If the military chooses Reads for your move please ask them to try another company! Also editing to add that per the contract we signed they were supposed to unpack and get rid of boxes/trash and they didn't.

  If I could give this company a zero I would. This was the worst move I had in the military and none of our stuff was handled properly. Half of our furniture was broken to include our brand new refrigerator. They did not unpack nor collect the debris per their contract. Due to this company I will be out thousands of dollars of replacing furniture for my family. This was my retirement move and your company ruined it for my family and myself.

  The movers arrived at my new home on May 2nd. They brought my belongings in carefully, assembled a few pieces of furniture which had been taken apart for the move, and were on their way. The men were professional and respectful at all times. I am pleased that I chose to have Read/Atlas help me relocate.
