On or about 1957, Robert Rossi, our founder, and his family started a sand and gravel mining operation in Ringwood, New Jersey. Working long hours with a willingness to do whatever it takes , the Rossi family built one of the most respected and well known mining organizations in New Jersey. Over time, they purchased various mine sites in New York and New Jersey. Among them are RINGWOOD QUARRY, WEST MILFORD CONCRETE PRODUCTS, RINGWOOD WASHED SAND AND GRAVEL CO., INC., EMPIRE STONE, and FORD ROAD MINE. Each site was developed from raw land to fully operational mining operations. Over time, the operations expanded, and new, larger machines were added.1961calendar
