The Knight Transportation Carlisle terminal opened on July 25, 2007, and is located on the historic Miracle Mile, the one-mile stretch of highway between the Pennsylvania Turnpike and Interstate 81. This area is known as the site of the first level road built under the Eisenhower Interstate System.
Our terminal building also has a unique history, originally operating as a gas station with a full-service garage. In parts of the office, you can still feel the old car lifts beneath the carpet, a reminder of the building’s past.
Strategically positioned on the Miracle Mile, the Carlisle terminal is within six hours of seven major cities, making it an important hub for transportation and logistics.
