  The team that showed up was great from the jump. They brought in all the necessary material to get our house packed and on the truck. We did an initial walkthrough to identify which items would or would not be packed. Once started, they took extreme care to make sure any potentially breakable items were wrapped and boxed in way where we wouldn’t worry about anything happening to them. They moved quickly and asked us to review spaces/drawers/closets to ensure nothing was missed. If there was a question about a particular item or space, they quickly sought us out to review. Dave and his team of Dave, Kelcie, Chris, and Joe were true professionals. We highly recommend University Moving and Storage for any move but especially for an interstate move requiring storage before final delivery.

  Overall my experience with this company was good. My stuff arrived and was in good shape (with a couple minor exceptions that I don't attribute to the movers, more to the difficulty of moving a whole bunch of stuff a long distance without having any dings at all). The move coordinator checked in with me regularly and the movers padded my furniture with good care. They were on time and worked efficiently. I do have a couple things to note. They're not worth steering someone away from this company (like I said, overall I am satisfied with the service), but they do keep me just short of a 5 star rating. The main thing is the timing of the move, I communicated that I was starting a job upon arriving in my new location, so it would be helpful to get my stuff there before the start date if possible. My impression from the conversation was that such a date would be no problem. I was also told when the driver arrived to pack my things, I would be given the expected arrival date. When the driver did arrive, he told me he didn't have the schedule yet, and that he'd have the schedule the following week. Ultimately, I didn't find out when my stuff would arrive until a week after it was actually packed. I get that the logistics of coordinating different moves to different parts of the country is challenging, and they ultimately did deliver my stuff by the end of the delivery window (the last day of the window). I just would have preferred that there was a clearer communication of the logistical situation when I arranged the move with them and that I was given more of a sense that it probably would be closer to the end of the window. Instead, I felt I was told it would be easy to have it there a week or so sooner than it actually ended up being. Again though, I do feel the company did a good job and I wouldn't steer someone away. I would just be aware that the process may not be seamless and to be aware when getting a quote that there may be some overpromising.

  When I started my moving plans from Ohio to Oklahoma, I didn’t even have a new house yet. University moving and storage (north American van lines) came to my home to assess the size of my move. They gave me an estimate within my budget. They worked with me as I got rid of stuff and made adjustments to my inventory. When moving day finally came, they arrived promptly and helped me finish up packing before loading. Upon delivery, the guys were efficient and so helpful in getting things where I wanted them, double checking before leaving that I didn’t need help moving anything again. Unlike other moving companies I called, they didn’t require payment until delivery. Very professional, I would use them again and recommend to anyone who is moving interstate.

  The team did an excellent job! The initial quote was very easy and straightforward, the communication was there every step of the way (even after the move), and the driver and movers at the start and end destinations were friendly, efficient, and I had no issues. Thank you to Travis, Laura and Mike!
