  Was a waste of money. Set up want that great. Small hooks and bait. Trip was very disappointing for my son being is first. Spend the extra money and go on a trip that leaves the inlet and sound.

  Had a great time today with my family on the Crystal Head! We are very much beginners at fishing, and today was a blast thanks to the helpful instruction of the mates and their support throughout the trip. Captain was pleasant and knowledgeable. We saw many dolphins on our way to and from the fishing locations. I caught 6 small fish , including a flounder! My son caught two as well. Highly recommend!

  I'd give zero stars if I could. The refund policy is a joke. I booked a small party of (4) for my son's birthday at 9:00pm and emailed @ 9:30pm the same evening asking for a refund for the next morning. The kids found something else they wanted to do. When I called to follow up on the refund, Merideth was rude and unwilling to compromise. If you have a strict no refund policy, it should be clearly listed on the booking page. The booking page only says no refunds for missing the boat. I didn't miss the boat. I canceled the booking. A partial refund or a credit would have been easy options if they gave a crap about their customers. This company takes advantage of the fact that their customer base during the peak season is from out of town. This is my 275th review and it's one of the few times I've given less than 4 stars. Extremely disappointing. There are other head boats in the area that are more focused on a great customer experience. Steer clear unless you want to have rude customer service and be seen as only a $. 4 people weren't going to make or break this trip. There were 9 other people on the boat.

  We had a blast with Captain Mike and firstmate Nick. They were both so friendly. The Captain took us to so many different spots to try to catch fish. The boat ride and scenery was nice just by itself. I would definitely go again. We caught a few small fish but the overall experience was great.
