This was the best thing I could’ve did for me. The guys were so professional. They took very good care of me and they was so nice and courteous. Thank you very much AAA for having such a great crew.
I hope this review helps others avoid the experience I had with Triple AAA Movers.
I booked my move a week in advance, and the movers were scheduled to arrive at 12:00 p.m. Unfortunately, they did not arrive until 5:00 p.m., despite my making multiple follow-up calls to the office throughout the day. When they finally arrived, they spent nearly the first hour doing very little, causing even further delays.
Before the move began, I was asked to sign documents on their phone without being given adequate time to read or understand what I was signing. I found this to be unprofessional and inappropriate.
The crew included Jared and another mover whose name I unfortunately do not remember. During the move, my bed was broken. When I calmly raised the issue, the other mover became rude, raised his voice, and yelled at us instead of taking responsibility or offering an apology. His behavior was completely unprofessional and made an already stressful situation even worse. No customer should have to endure that kind of treatment.
The problems did not end there. Triple AAA Movers sent a truck that was too small for the move, leaving several of my belongings behind, including my freezer. As a result, I had to pay additional charges to have the remaining items transported the following day. This inconvenience and extra expense could have been avoided if the company had sent the appropriate-sized truck from the beginning.
They also damaged my couch, which I purchased for $6,000. It was left with noticeable dents, deep scratches, and a large tear in the upholstery. The damage was significant and completely unacceptable. I documented everything with photographs immediately after the move and promptly reported the damage to the office. I also filed a claim with Triple AAA Movers, but they refused to take responsibility or provide any compensation. Instead, my concerns were dismissed, and I was left to bear the cost of the damage.
The damage to my bed was so severe that it was no longer usable. I ultimately had to throw it away and, as a result, I am currently sleeping on the floor while I figure out how to replace it. This has caused significant inconvenience and additional expense.
In total, I paid $1,300 for this move, yet I experienced a five-hour delay, an undersized truck that required a second trip at my expense, damaged furniture, a broken bed that had to be discarded, unprofessional and disrespectful behavior from a crew member, and a complete lack of accountability when I reported the damage. This is not the level of service any customer should expect after paying for professional movers.
I sincerely hope management begins taking customer complaints more seriously. No customer should pay for a service that results in damaged property, additional costs, and then be left without any meaningful resolution.
If anyone would like to see the damage, I am happy to share the photographs. They clearly show the dents, deep scratches, torn upholstery on my couch, and the broken bed. Trying to find where to upload pictures invain
AAA was recommended to me by a good friend that owned a moving company before he retired. I am glad he did.
AAA did an outstanding job. They were 90 minutes late arriving due to a scheduling mishap, but made up for it with the service.
They packed like champs and nothing was broken. The two movers, Eric and Sang, worked their tails off. They were clean, efficient and extremely friendly. Awesome dudes to work with.
You may pay a bit more using AAA, but it is worth every penny.

I would not recommend using this moving company. We had a pretty easy move, lots of boxes but only a few furniture pieces from west suburbs to east suburbs. Movers went more than 2 hours over the quoted time, did not appear to be trying to work quickly, lots of standing around. Terry the team lead never introduced himself to us, I had to keep asking who he was to find him, he stayed in the truck majority of the time. He did come in after I asked one of the other crew members to lay down runners over our freshly cleaned carpet. The original crew member I asked said he would but then Terry came in asking “so what’s the issue with the carpet?” and told me I’d“ be fine” since it wasn’t raining out and that he would not cover the carpets. So the crew walked all over our carpets in their outdoor shoes. He then went back out to the truck and only came back in to put together our beds. Terry had us pay and he asked for tip and only after that did he inform us that the crew broke our $1000 outdoor bench. He also tried to say it was already broken, however I saw crew carry bench by the arms instead of the bottom, and they broke the arm rest off the bench. I did speak with customer service, asked for our tip to be refunded (it was) and she said she looked into it and crew did not punch out for break time, which I never would have known unless calling. I was refunded approx $500 for the time, received a small credit of $60 for the broken bench. However, this refund is not satisfactory given the slowness and unprofessional manner of crew and especially crew lead, and the very inaccurate quote. I definitely recommend checking that your crew clocked out for breaks or you will unknowingly overpay.
The one star is bc a selection is required. I’d give less if possible. Where do I start—two major issues with using them. Used AAA movers recently and thoroughly read their insurance policy .60c/lb of item reimbursed for damage. I figured that was reasonable bc more than likely there would be a small scratch here or there as a normal cost of business with moving. However, the amount of monetary damage they created quickly made the insurance policy not enough. Stripped two legs completely off the bottom of our child’s expensive dresser. This could only happen if you just dragged it on the ground and are too lazy to pick it up. The next item is my wife’s $800 kitchen aid mixer. The solid steel adjusting handle on the left side is supposed to be perpendicular to the mixer. After unpacking said handle is bent completely straight down and makes the kitchenaid inoperable bc you can’t adjust the beater and mixing blades at all. The amount of force it would take to bend such a solid piece of metal would require pure negligence.
The second issue is the estimate, all estimates are a rough range. However, after my wife walked through the sq footage of the old house and items in the rooms with a sales rep. She was quoted around 1800-2100 with a statement that more than likely the move would be faster and actually cheaper with said square footage. The movers arrived 4 of them and began working. They soon stated they would need to bring in two more workers bc they needed more help for the amount of items (6 workers). However, square footage of the house didn’t change obviously. Quoted 4-6hrs. It took a total of 8hrs and they weren’t able to even fully load it all in their truck. My now bill was at 3k and everything wasn’t even completed. They offered to drop off and come back for the rest. I declined bc at that point that would’ve easily made it a 5k job. This was a 1700sq ft town home being moved….
Now an insurance claimed had to be filed and the sheer amount of damage created did not come close to making us a fraction of whole. Items have to be replaced by us, $1k more paid for the move, and I still have to rent a U-Haul and go back and get the rest they failed to move with six movers from a 1700 sq ft town home. Inefficient movers, and inadequate insurance policy with the amount of damage their movers cause.
We had high hopes, but avoid this company. You’ll end up paying so much extra money due to damage, inaccurate quotes, and having to finish the moving job yourself it’s just not fiscally worth it.
