  We did a private 2 hour trip. It was me, my wife and our two teenage kids. Captain Karl was great. He gave us some history on the boat, a friendship sloop, pointed out points of interest along the way, and answered all of our questions.

  Amazing tour and so much more than any of us expected! Learning about the history and culture of the lobster industry while cruising by some of the most beautiful scenery was top notch! Hearing some of the stories…it was like we were watching a TV drama series being played just for us! We laughed, we gawked in awe, we saw beautiful scenery, learned so much, loved the lobster trap haul, and also enjoyed being able to bring our own drinks and snacks too! Our group of 16 adults raved about this experience! Thank you Sail Acadia! Well beyond 5 stars!!! 🦞⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🦞

  We did the sunset cruise on the Elizabeth T last week and it exceeded expectations. Joe was an awesome captain and Jessica was fabulous - hilarious and lots of local color. We learned more than we ever expected about lobsters and to top it off we had great weather and a wonderful sunset. Highly recommended!

  We did the Sunset Sail with Captain John. The sail was perfect and Captain John was professional, knowledgeable and personable. The only negative I have is that in the confirmation of the booking it states "If you are looking for a place to get some food and drinks before or after your trip, we highly recommend Vacationland Coffee Roasters, conveniently located at the marina just across from our office. They serve delicious coffee, amazing food and yummy cocktails with a great view of the harbor. You’re welcome to bring any of their food and drinks on board with you." We were highly disappointed to find that they were closed. I looked them up on google and found that their hours of operation are Wednesday-Sunday 8am to noon. You may want to updated this in your documentation.

  We took the late afternoon cruise on Somes Sound aboard the 1899 Friendship Sloop Alice E. with Sail Acadia. The cruise was great - classic, scenic, and relaxing. Captain John did a great job navigating and sharing local knowledge throughout the sail. Great views along the sound, including local lighthouses, wildlife, mountain views and even the many renowned Hinckley Yachts! Heading down Somes Sound under sail and catching the sunset from the water was hard to beat. Very well run and an easy recommendation if you want an authentic sail on Mount Desert Island.
