Oskar and Batraz did an excellent job with our local multi-stop move from Lexington to Kennebunkport, Newburyport, and Methuen. They stayed organized throughout the day, handled every stop efficiently, and carried everything with care, including the stairs at each location. Their professionalism made a complicated move feel smooth and manageable.

I really wanted to leave a 5 star review, but I just can't. We hired Move and Care to do move from NC to MA. We opted for the "slow truck" as we didn't need the items right away. The price was very competitive, the movers were professional, and everything in NC went perfectly smooth. The issues happened afterwards. After being told the slow truck would take 3 weeks, we were given a delivery date 4 weeks after pickup. Ok, I can deal with that. I'm waiting for the delivery driver at the storage unit for 1 1/2 hours before the dispatcher calls and says we have to reschedule. Ok, things happen, I understand. We rescheduled and the items were delivered, again, very professional and efficient. However a few items were left behind in NC. I realized after unpacking a few days later. Called the office, explained to someone, and was reassured the items were just left behind by accident. They would be on the next truck up from NC. Ok, I guess things happen, not a big deal. Needless to say, it's September, I don't yet have my items, and trying to figure out when they are coming has not been easy. I understand that this is Boston in September, with a gazillion college students moving in, but we have been waiting since June! The lack of professionalism and accumulated "issues" are why I am giving them 3 stars.
I hired Move & Care for an interstate household goods move from Matthews, NC, to Jacksonville, FL in August 2026. I ultimately paid $9,624.92, including $630 for Full Value Protection.
The problem was not simply the cost. Move & Care’s crew attempted to disassemble my fully operational Peloton Tread at origin. It was delivered substantially dismantled and nonfunctional, with the console/handrail assembly, uprights, wiring and trim components separated from the base. Nobody at delivery could properly reassemble it.
I also discovered that Move & Care had transferred all of my shipment to an undisclosed chain of companies. The freight bill of lading identifies Logistics Trio and Duncan Enterprises of Charlotte, while the final moving crew arrived wearing Central Florida Pros shirts. The crew lead for Central Florida Pros told me they had never worked with Move & Care before. I was never informed beforehand that my possessions would be transferred this way, nor was I asked whether I accepted having an unfamiliar third party deliver and reassemble equipment that Move & Care had dismantled.
The delivery paperwork described my household goods as “Dry Goods (General).” I signed subject to inspection and specifically documented that the Peloton Tread was damaged, the shipment was not accepted in good condition, and payment was made under protest.
I submitted a complete $3,212.14 Full Value Protection claim on September 1 with photographs, receipt, inventory, invoice and delivery documentation. As of September 3, I have received no acknowledgment. When I called the claims number to verify receipt, it went directly to voicemail and the mailbox was full.
The undisclosed transfers, lack of continuity or accountability, damaged equipment and inaccessible claims process make this a company I cannot recommend or trust with another interstate move. I will update this review if the claim is resolved.
Oskar and Vitaly did a great job with our local move from Quincy to Dorchester, including overnight storage. They kept everything organized and well protected while it was stored overnight, then delivered it safely to the new apartment the next day. Both movers were professional, efficient, and easy to work with.

**2 stars – Very disappointing experience, especially given the 4.9 rating in google**
I chose Move and Care for our household move from Massachusetts to Florida after seeing their 4.9-star rating with approximately 1,400 reviews. Their initial quote was **$7,555**, which was presented as a flat-rate move based on the inventory list I provided and included 20 boxes. I was aware that additional boxes would cost extra. I was also quoted approximately **$350 for two weeks of storage**.
For comparison, Allied had actually visited our home, inspected what we had, and quoted approximately **$9,500**. Move and Care was considerably less expensive and, importantly, could accommodate our required Sunday moving date, while Allied could only move us on Monday. Based on those factors and the excellent online rating, I chose Move and Care.
Unfortunately, as the moving date approached, additional charges started appearing.
First, I was told there would be another **$150 charge**. Then I was informed that because they did not have storage in Florida, our belongings would need to be unloaded and loaded again through storage, resulting in approximately **another $1,000 charge**. There was also approximately **$350 for protection**, in addition to the extra cost for boxes beyond the original 20.
My biggest frustration is not simply that the final price increased. It is **when these additional costs were communicated**. By that point, our moving date was fixed and extremely difficult to change. I was effectively in a position where I had little practical choice but to accept the additional charges.
The delivery experience was also disappointing. The delivery arrived with three movers and a truck driver. Once the truck was unloaded, the driver left, essentially saying that his responsibility was finished. The remaining three movers were hesitant to assemble our furniture because they did not want to take responsibility if hardware or other pieces were missing. I eventually convinced them to assemble whatever they reasonably could.
I tipped the moving crew **$400 at pickup and another $210 at delivery**, because I appreciate the physical work performed by the individual movers. This review is not intended as criticism of workers who were doing a difficult job.
However, when everything is added together, **my total cost went beyond the approximately $9,500 that Allied had originally quoted after physically inspecting my home**. Had I known from the beginning that the final cost with Move and Care would exceed that amount, my decision very likely would have been different.
My suggestion to Move and Care is simple: **provide customers with a much clearer picture of all foreseeable charges at the time of quoting, especially storage-transfer, handling, protection, delivery, and assembly-related costs.** Customers should not discover significant additional charges when they are only days away from a move and no longer have a realistic opportunity to choose another company.
I am giving 2 stars rather than 1 because the move was ultimately completed and I appreciate the work of the individual movers. But considering the initial quote, the additional charges, the timing of those charges, and the delivery/assembly experience, I cannot give a higher rating.
