  No one bands a group of scorned women together like Jan… The aesthetic of the funk bus immediately matched our group’s vibes upon arrival. Once on the bus, we were ready to party. Our euphoric bubble suddenly popped once the bus driver mentioned there were no rules, initially matching our energy to have a great time, to then quickly pivot and proceeded to tell us her one rule “don’t play music with vulgar lyrics” as it “hurts her soul”. As the group quickly fell speechless, our eyes awkwardly making contact with each other trying to process what the heck just happened. To be fair, this was a suggestion, but left ourselves grappling with the point of a “funk bus” with no funk. We respectfully declined to heed Jan’s advice, and the party raged on as we listened to WAP down the highway, windows down. The bus itself was roomy and clean and became our caravan of debauchery. While the driver didn’t bring up the music again, it did leave us pondering “Where’s the funk?”
