We moved from the place we had lived for 38 years. Over time we had accumulated a lot of furniture, much of it heavy wood. After talking with friends who had moved and reviewing ratings, we narrowed the movers we were interested in to three companies. Further research seem to set Neutz apart.
The crew of four men and two trucks arrived on time. All of them were outgoing and friendly. After a walk-through the foreman explained what will be done and how it would occur. The move took place over approximately 7 hours.
Unfortunately for the crew, we moved on one of the hottest and most humid days of the year and our move involved going up and down large flights of steps. Despite these issues, there were no complaints and they continued working hard.
There were two minor issues after the move was completed. One involved some scratches on a wooden floor on the polyurethane. The other involved a crack on a door of a chest of drawers. The foreman reported those to me immediately and took information regarding a claim.
Afterwards, I spoke to the repair person, Ed. It would be hard to describe a more competent person dealing with this type of situation. Overall, he spent a number of hours making repairs with a lot more precision than I had ever expected.. Thus, everything turned out extremely well.
The price, work, and repairs were all fair. This made the move as easy stress-free as possible.

We recently moved homes and chose Neutz Sons & Daughters Moving because their Google reviews were good. When I first called, Ed was courteous, professional, and said upfront that their quote wouldn’t be the highest or lowest, (which was true) so I felt good about choosing them.
Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of expectations.
Because we had to leave our old home by 7/31 but couldn’t close on the new home until 8/10, we essentially had to pay for two moves: first into the movers’ warehouse, then from the warehouse into our new home. Because of my work travel leading up to the move, we also paid for their packing services to reduce the stress of preparing for the move.
I communicated our expected delivery date 3 times - once to to Ed early on, again when they picked up our belongings on 7/30, and a third time when Austin (I believe the operations manager) called about a week before delivery. I specifically told him we were closing on 8/10 and needed everything delivered on 8/11. He assured me they would have us moved in that day, likely around noon or 1 p.m.
At 12:30 p.m. on 8/11, after hearing nothing, I called for an ETA—only to be told WE WEREN’T EVEN ON THE SCHEDULE.
After confirming the date three times, I was understandably furious. Moving is already incredibly stressful, and we had been displaced from our home for nearly two weeks. Ed handled my rage professionally, and Austin apologized and scrambled to correct the mistake. Thankfully, we received our belongings the following day.
The movers were polite and worked hard, but unfortunately, there was significant damage. A glass door on one of our entertainment cabinets shattered. Multiple pieces of furniture had large chips, dents and scrapes. Our adjustable bed still isn’t functioning today, two weeks later. One L-shaped desk had a broken leg, and several days later upon attempting to repair it ourselves. we discovered an ENTIRE SECOND LEG WAS MISSING - it was just GONE.
Furniture was wrapped in plastic but still arrived extremely dirty, and we found several long, irreparable scratches on the wood floors in our home office.
As we unpacked, we found additional damage, including several shattered glass sheets from picture frames. Some items were packed beautifully, while others appeared to have been packed with little care or logic. It was bananas, honestly.
We are also missing TWO LADDERS. A full-size ladder disappeared, although we somehow ended up with a similar-looking ladder that is definitely not ours. A smaller more mobile step ladder we regularly used around the house to change light bulbs and reach high shelves is also just gone.
I have photos of many of the damages and will include as many as Google allows. And yes, we could file a claim—but we made the mistake of declining the additional insurance. Neutz’s included coverage is $0.60 per pound, meaning a 30–40 lb damaged cabinet might result in only $20–$25 compensation. That doesn’t come close to repairing or replacing furniture. BUY THE ADDITIONAL INSURANCE.
Our experience with Neutz was frustrating and disappointing. The final cost for both moves ended up being nearly THREE TIMES the original quote, and we were left with damaged and missing belongings, scratched floors, and a scheduling failure that should never have happened after confirming the delivery date multiple times.
The movers worked hard, and I’m sure they did their best. But if this was Neutz’s best, their best fell remarkably short. Our experience was NOT good, and the photos only show a fraction of what we found afterward.
