Boerman Moving & Storage was started by Howard and Mary Boerman in 1926 as an ice and coal delivery business. The ice and coal business required the company to deliver appliances and these customers would ask Boerman to provide moving services for their household goods. Through the forties and fifties the ice and coal business changed and Boerman Moving & Storage’s primary business became a full service moving and storage company operating in the western suburbs of Chicago. In March 2000, the company moved to Woodridge, Illinois into a 42,000 square foot facility, recently renovated and expanded to 58,500 square feet in 2018, that provides both household goods storage and distribution services.
