- MSMegan Sullivan3 days ago1.0I have never left a bad review before, but I am very disappointed that I supported P & L Movers. I originally booked them because of their affordable quote, the great reviews, and that they claim to be a women owned business. My roommate and I both had booked them for our moves, and we both had similar negative experiences. Unfortunately, this proves to me that it was not a one-off experience. The movers themselves made me very uncomfortable and made comments regarding "where my husband" is. They also left the pictured clipboard at my apartment, which I frankly find disgusting, especially considering how they advertise themselves. The amount that they charged me was almost twice as much as what they quoted me for, and I had told them the size of my place, the locations, and the number of boxes. Finally, they damaged multiple items of mine and completely broke my desk. When I kindly reached out to them, they were unresponsive and unhelpful. After endless times of following up, they finally agreed to send me a check for a whopping $23, which I have never received. They claim this check was sent but provided no proof or verification and stopped responding. This was about a two months ago.
