  Lee and Jimmy helped me move out of my 2 BR/BA and had us out in only a few hours. Walked up and down 3 flights of stairs in the heat. Some of the kindest movers I’ve ever had 🤝

  Read this before booking an out-of-town move — learn how the bait-and-switch works. In March 2026, I received a quote of $2,100 from a representative named Hunter. He was friendly and made it sound like I was getting a great deal because they had a truck “in the area” that didn’t want to return empty. Honestly, it felt like a steal — I even expected the price might increase later. A week before my move, another rep, Chris, called and offered to transport my car for $400. I didn’t need it, but it seemed like a good deal. He even suggested I could pack items in the car to save space in the truck. When the driver arrived, I was told I’d be charged extra because I had items in the car. By the time it was delivered, the cost had doubled to $800. Then things got worse. Chris asked for photos of my inventory, which I provided. Based on that, my original $2,100 quote jumped to $4,700. While frustrating, I assumed this was now an accurate, finalized price since they had seen everything. On moving day, the crew showed up at 5:30 PM with a truck already full from another job. They told me they only had room for some of my items and would need to send another truck — increasing my total cost to $6,500. That was the breaking point. On top of the price increases, I learned my belongings would be taken to a warehouse in New Jersey and held until another truck was available — potentially delaying delivery for weeks. I told them to leave. They never moved a single item — yet they kept my $2,600 deposit. I was charged thousands of dollars for a move that never happened. My attorney is now involved, and I’m pursuing this, but I’m sharing this so others don’t fall into the same trap.
