    We had the most amazing trip. We all got limits and the crew and captain were the most amazing people. From start to finish it was such a wonderful experience. We will be back.

    We had an absolutely wonderful experience aboard the Riptide while spreading my mom’s ashes in Half Moon Bay. The captain and crew treated our family with kindness, professionalism, and genuine compassion during a very emotional afternoon. They gave us the time and space we needed and handled everything with tremendous respect. It made a difficult day feel peaceful and meaningful. What made the experience even more memorable happened shortly after we spread Mom’s ashes. The captain noticed that a humpback whale had surfaced nearby, and rather than simply heading back in, he went out of his way to give us the opportunity to watch it. The whale stayed in the area around the boat for a while, and it was an absolutely beautiful and majestic moment that none of us will ever forget. That extra effort meant more to our family than the captain probably realizes. It turned an already special farewell into something truly unforgettable. We are extremely grateful to the captain and crew of the Riptide for their excellent service, compassion, and thoughtfulness. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a respectful and caring way to honor a loved one on the water. Thank you for helping make Mom’s final journey such a beautiful one.

    No nonsense fishing with an old school boat and an old school captain. Fairly priced, great fun and a whole lot of fish. Probably not the best charter for families with young children though.

    Fantastic fishing trip. I had not been on the ocean in 50 years. Excellent instructions, it helped me land a huge Ling Cod, and great assistance in removing the throw backs and they gaffed my big one. I recommend them highly and will do it again soon.

    Sept.24 trip Captain Smitty put us on big fish (11 people) done in 30 minutes, whale breached, whale flukes extra no charge😁!! Thank you for the awesome fishing trip Captain Smitty and Deckhand Lee you guy's are great.
