  Booked this trip and had an absolute blast. The entire team and crew from A-Z were fantastic. Not only did they put us on the fish, but their equipment was top notch, the lodging was great, and food was amazing. Will book again.

  Top notch services from the moment we arrived to the airport until we were dropped back off at the airport. Our guide Seth was top notch and kept baits fresh and kept us on fish for the 3 days we were fishing. Cooking and cleaning staff was awesome and kept our stomachs full and accommodations clean. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to have a stress free time around great company. You can bring clothing and toiletries and everything else is taken care of.

  We had an excellent experience with A-Z Fishing from start to finish! The captains were extremely knowledgeable, experienced, and professional, while also being friendly and great to fish with. They provided everything we needed, including quality rain gear and boots, which made the long days on the water much more comfortable. The accommodations were excellent, and the food was outstanding. Breakfast was provided each morning, and they had everything ready for us to build our own sandwiches for a full day of fishing, along with plenty of water, soda, and coffee. We were able to fish for salmon, halibut, and rockfish, and the entire operation was very well organized. The staff was professional, helpful, and friendly throughout our stay. One of the biggest conveniences was having our fish professionally processed, packaged, and boxed so it was ready to fly home with us. A-Z Fishing took care of all the details, allowing us to focus on what we came for—great fishing and having a great time. I would highly recommend A-Z Fishing to anyone looking for a first-class fishing experience!

  Buyer beware! The lodge Is small and really just a house, so be prepared to share bathrooms with multiple groups. The tackle is dated and our reels would lock up occasionally. We had a verbal agreement with the owner Brian for 2 free gaf tags for halibut. We used one and the next day our captain informed us that there wasn’t any gaf tags on his boat. Get everything in writing if making any additional deals! They put our group of 3 adults in a room that was basically a 9x10. When we asked for a larger room we were told by the manager that nobody had ever complained before. Which is sad because the lodging does not reflect the price point. I’ve been to 2 other lodges in Alaska that were far superior in every way. Our Captain Taylor and the kitchen staff were the only bright spots in an otherwise horrible trip!

  So A to Z Sport Fishing Charters gets zero stars from me. We were there August 20th through the 26th 2026. There were four of us in the group until 10 days before when one of my friends had some trouble with diabetes and could not go. We were scheduled for two rooms two people per room. When we got there the manager had put us three men together in a 100 ft room with three beds. One of which was broken. When we talked to the manager and requested another room or better accommodations we were met with sarcasm, and her holding the phone while the co-owner/captain listened on the line. The kitchen staff come down and help us change beds sheets so two of us could stay in the other room. The first day of fishing went well. The reels and poles that were on the boat were well used and some worn out. The following day the captain of our boat told us that Brian the co-owner and Captain was wanting to boot us out of the lodge because we did not like the small room. That night we sat with Brian and his other captain at a table and he never said a word to us! Very rude very inconsiderate of anything that had transpired. I happen to know the other co-owner and called them that first day to let him know what was going on and I am sure that infuriated Brian. After the second day we were told that we could not sit at that table and a sign was placed on that table saying staff only. The last day of fishing we were informed that there were no gaf tags on the boat. By order of the co-owner and captain of the other boat. We had no opportunity to catch another large halibut. We had asked the two men that prep the fish to take it home if they could please put in smaller portions in each package? Which they refuse to do. The last night before we left the captain said to one of my fellow fishermen thanks for coming look forward to seeing you next year at the show. That is all that was said to any of us for the whole week. The manager also does housekeeping who never once changed any Linens in any room. We only seen her one time from a distance that whole week after the incident. Take this review for what it is and how you will use it to everyone. But they are very disrespectful to the clients, older equipment on the boats. And they have a captain with a 6-month-old dog on the boat going in and around elderly people's feet while they were out fishing for 4 days, when one of the people complained they were told not to tell the dog anything! That was his job. Two of the five days we were there the owner and captains dog was in the kitchen while meals were being prepared.
