Yes, you can absolutely do dog sledding here in the summer! In fact, Summer is the only month we opperate the dog sledding tours. We operate a high-alpine glacier camp right out of Seward where the snow lasts all year long. We fly you up by helicopter to the glacier so you can experience authentic dog sledding on real snow with actual Iditarod sled dogs and mushers, even in July and August.

It is perfect for almost all ages and requires no prior experience or intense physical fitness! The professional mushers and the dog teams do all the heavy lifting. Guests can choose to sit back comfortably inside the sled or stand on the runners right behind the musher. It’s an incredibly accessible, multi-generational adventure.
