- SCSamantha CoveyJun 29, 20265.0We contacted various moving companies throughout the Fairbanks area as a desperate measure due to U-haul canceling our reservation that was made weeks in advance, twice. I spoke with Mr. Doug and he was extremely helpful since the beginning. Since it was a last minute inquiry for a move within the next 24 hrs, he informed me he was unavailable to conduct a moving service with such a short timeline and recommended other moving companies in the area. After making a few more calls to other companies, Mr. Doug reached out again and said he would try to make this work. He came out to our residence within 10 minutes, did a survey of our household goods, and gave us a rough estimate of what it’d cost us. Additionally, he gave us advice of an alternative moving solution which helped us with our move and saving us a significant amount in moving costs. Although we didn’t not utilize this moving service, we deeply appreciate the willingness to help Mr. Doug provided. He alleviated a great amount of stress and pressure for our move. Most importantly, we appreciate the fact that he did not push or sell his service onto us, instead he helped us find a more suitable alternative for our situation.
