- BBBillDec 30, 20251.0I called South Hills Movers today to get a quote on moving furniture from a residence to a nearby storage unit. The woman who answered the phone and was helping me explained that their initial procedure is to have someone come take a look at the furniture being moved. I explained to her that I was not currently residing in the home due to a separation. Before I could explain more about my situation and give the option of coordinating a time where I would be there and/or offer a list/photos of items to be moved, she said “they don’t work with people in my situation” and laughed multiple times about them not wanting to get involved with a “messy divorce.” To clarify, I had never mentioned anything about 1) not being willing to have a visit or 2) having a “messy divorce”, yet she doubled down on that the company would not be able to help me and actually laughed multiple times. Decision sealed, I will happily work with Meta Movers, who have been helpful, budget-friendly, and courteous throughout my entire initial quote process.

But a gentleman driving a branded South hills movers vehicle just proceeded to think that because I'm a woman he could scream profanities at me and belittle me because I would just take it. Now, had he approached me like a human I would have kindly spoken to him but, to represent your company in such a manner that is a public spectacle of degrading women I can only imagine what they would do to my valuables in my home if given the chance. Not to mention if you potentially work in logistics or with moving large scale commercial accounts. I know I'll be sharing this with my book of enterprise customers during their search for reliable logistics companies.
