  Two movers showed up on time and were pleasant to deal with, but that’s where the positives end. They were extremely slow. It took them 3 hours just to move the furniture from a 2-bedroom apartment — and I want to be very clear: only the furniture. We moved all the boxes and smaller items ourselves. Then it took another 3 hours to unload at the new place. They were moving at a snail’s pace the entire time. In the end, we were shocked to be charged more than double the original estimate. The final cost was completely unjustified given how little was moved and how inefficient the process was. This was a very disappointing experience. I would never book Let’s Get Moving again and would not recommend them to anyone. Easily the worst movers I’ve dealt with. Update in response to the company’s reply: This move took place on 28-Sep-2025 and the invoice number is 264236. The experience described above is accurate and relates directly to this booking. I am happy to provide these details publicly since the company stated they could not locate the job.

  I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was bad enough that I feel others should be aware. From the start, the movers arrived unprepared—no moving blankets and no dolly—so my dad had to go out and purchase supplies for them. It quickly became obvious that they lacked basic moving skills, to the point where my dad had to step in and show them how to properly move furniture. The crew worked extremely inefficiently. Often, only one or two people were actually moving items while the others stood by watching. We drove to our new home ahead of them, yet they didn’t arrive until roughly 40 minutes later, time that we were still charged for with no explanation. Throughout the day, furniture was repeatedly dropped and dragged across our hardwood floors, causing visible damage. When the truck finally arrived, several pieces were broken and much of the furniture had shifted and collapsed on top of one another during transport. In total, four pieces had to be thrown out, and many others were damaged, along with our floors and walls. The situation became so frustrating that my dad eventually asked the movers to leave everything on the porch just to prevent further damage inside the house. After calling the company multiple times, they refused to take responsibility and blamed the damage on “cheap furniture.” Their resolution was a $150 refund, which doesn’t come close to covering the cost of replacement furniture or repairs. I strongly advise against using this company.

  THEY ARE VERY SLOW, perhaps by design. We booked them to move a one bedroom apartment into a house. Two guys showed up and estimated it would take two hours to move all our things out of the apartment into the truck, then it would be “quick” to move the items from the truck into the house. We booked the elevator for 2 hours based on their estimate over the phone. When they got there, they said they would be done getting everything into their truck in two hours. The two guys that showed moved EXTREMELY slowly. They got to our building just before 1 PM and took about 10-15 minutes to get upstairs to our unit, looked around, then declared they would need to get their tools from the truck to start the move. Another 20 minutes goes by before they’re back upstairs (there are elevators, they weren’t climbing the stairs themselves) and they finally started after 1:30. Why wouldn’t they bring their tools up with them the first time? We paid for that time. It took them over THREE hours to get everything in the truck. Then they weren’t finished unloading everything until close to 6:30. And they make you pay before all your stuff is off the truck, which makes sense from their side of the business. But it really felt like they slow walked the entire process and took double what they had estimated they would take in order to get more money from us. So the entire process was much more expensive than what we were quoted over the phone. They also put our crib back together backwards (drawer is now at the back of the crib) and left all the plastic wrapping they had put on the dressers. I would not recommend this company unless you want to pay way more than you’re expecting because two guys show up who don’t seem to know what they’re doing and do everything extremely slowly. I’ve moved before and helped others to move, so I know what’s possible. We got an entire one bedroom apartment moved in just under two hours and that included unloading on the other side. There is no reason this move, very similar size, should have taken 5+ hours. Very dissatisfied! The move was in Kitchener on Dec. 19.

  We used let’s get moving with Dilpreet and Simran both worked very hard . Dilpreet took control of the move right away and kept the pace of the whole move going ! Would hire them both without a doubt . Both very professional.

  We were very hesitant to hire movers after we had done all our previous moves on our own, but we took a chance and booked with Let’s Get Moving Waterloo, and it was the best decision! Akhil and Junior were professional and quick, making sure everything got to our new home safely. They made sure to ask lots of questions so that everything was moved to the correct rooms, and they made sure to pack everything with care. Would recommend for your next move!! Thanks Akhil and Junior
