Wish I could give more than 5 stars. My fiancé and I visited the Bar Harbor area during the last weekend of their season before winter. We were driving around looking for things to do that were still open and I googled 'Lobster boat ride' and found Sail Acadia. Their 3pm sailing was in 20 minutes and said 2 tickets remaining. I called their office and was so thankful they were able to get us in. The lady working in the office was so kind and funny, we immediately felt like we were a part of the crew. We boarded the Elizabeth T with 14 other guests, our captain and our guide, Katie. The team was professional and outgoing, they took us on a guided ride showing us all of the highlights of the area from the water. We also got to experience pulling up lobster traps - SO COOL! The intimate setting of the smaller boat gave us the opportunity to meet new people. A social butterfly's dream come true. It felt like more than a tourist boat ride, it was informative, welcoming and so much fun. The crew really takes care of their guests, they had binoculars and they even offered blankets for the chilly ride. Bring a heavy jacket and mittens if you go in October. Thank you, Sail Acadia for such great memories of our time in Maine!

Amazing experience aboard the wooden lobster boat, Elizabeth T. It was a full boat for her 40th birthday, last sail of the season. I definitely recommend dressing warm & layers. Some duck/rain boots if you have would help you fit right in with the crew. My husband and I brought our (almost) one year old & we all had a blast learning about & capturing videos of crab, lobster & seals.

We had THE BEST time on the Sunset Cruise with Carl and Katie. It was the highlight of our trip, and considering all the activties and beauty Acadia and Mt Desert Island had to offer, that is no small feat.

What an incredible experience this was. My husband and I wrapped up our MDI week with this little adventure and boy was it worth it. Captain John was wonderful and quite hilarious. He is very knowledgeable about both sailing and the islands. He was also patient with us as we were later than we wanted to be due to construction we failed to plan for. This is a fantastic adventure and we highly recommend it.

We had the best time sailing on Linda! Our captain made sure we had the best and safest time! He really taught us about the science of sailing and let us have an interactive part in sailing the boat! We met awesome people. Would definitely recommend!
