  Absolutely Amazing First-Time Fishing Experience! I had an amazing time with Windfish Charters—this was my first time fishing, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Captain Daniel was fantastic: incredibly knowledgeable about the area and clearly passionate about sustainable fishing practices, which I really appreciated. I booked the half-day trip, with a 6:45 AM meet-up and a 7:00 AM departure. We returned to the dock around 11:30 AM. The weather was perfect, and the views of Cape Ann from the water were stunning—especially getting to see Hammond Castle from the ocean. We caught several striped bass and even a lobster! Some of the bass were too big to keep, in accordance with National Marine Fisheries regulations, but Captain Daniel let us take photos with the larger catches before releasing them safely back into the ocean. Thankfully, we also landed a few keepers, and the captain expertly filleted them and even packed them up for us in Tupperware—talk about full service! I brought my in-laws and brother-in-law from Michigan, and they had an incredible time too. The booking process was super flexible, which made planning a breeze. Overall, this was a fun, educational, and unforgettable experience for all ages. Highly recommend Windfish Charters to anyone looking for a top-tier fishing trip on the Massachusetts coast!

  I have to say we had the most amazing day with Dan, we saw so much wildlife and caught all the fish we were after. Couldn’t recommend him enough. What a trip. He was so invested in getting us the most incredible experience he could. Thank you Dan!

  Had a great fishing trip with Daniel today. Showed us and gave us the background on some Gloucester sights and we caught a lot of fish. It was very exciting and fun. Highly recommend it. Would definitely do it again.

  AWESOME Fishing Excursion, July 2021!!! We booked a half-day trip to take our 10 and 11 year old kids on their first “ocean-fishing” trip. From catching mackerel fish for bait, to landing some striped bass, the day was exciting and did not disappoint. Captain Dan was very accommodating, and engaging. Everyone had a great time... we would definitely book with him again!

  Captain Dan was excellent. We wanted to explore Gloucester and found their instagram page. He was extremely friendly, polite and professional. He knew a couple great spots amd we cauflght a huge fish! He fileted it for us amd packed it up perfectly. Let me tell you, nothing beats a fresh fish you caught yourself. So good!! We had a blast and will consider doing it again this summer! It was the perfect day trip. Highly recommend to anyone! Thanks Captain Dan!!
