  I have been in touch with this company since the middle of July which was approximately a week or two after they delivered. I was told they were looking it this matter and that they had 60 days (per contract) to address this complaint. I never once got a phone call from them and have repeatedly 1-2 times/mo.) called them and got the same lame answer that they were looking into it. I have finally decided to post my experience with this company after getting the same response today as before. Here is the summary of our experience with American Family Movers: 1. Initial pricing quote changed: Exact number/size of boxes along with furniture were given over the phone and quote was verbally communicated to my wife. Upon arriving for pick up the overall quote increase 57% ($2300 to $3600) from the original estimate. With us providing the exact number and size of all the boxes as well as the limited furniture we had the idea that the price would increase by that amount is unfathomable. 2. Poor Communication: We were informed that the company would be giving us a 3-day notice as to when the date/timeframe of the delivery will be but only got 30-minute notice which required me to cancel work meetings to get home which was quite inconvenient. 3. Inadequate Staff: The staff (one older gentleman (no shoes) and one 30–40-year-old female) were very friendly but, unfortunately, did not provide the full service that was communicated (and in writing) to us in that they would move all items into the house to the appropriate room and assemble all needed items such as 2 bed frames/box spring/mattresses and kitchen table (gentleman said he didn’t have any tools and that this was the first time he had done this type of move for the company). They were physically unable to move all pieces to the appropriate location and required consistent assistance by myself and my daughter’s boyfriend. The length of time it took to unload the boxes/furniture was very slow and took much longer than it should have (4 hours). Because of our assistance we were able to speed up this process a bit. 4. Damaged furniture/boxes: As you can see from the photos below, there was both furniture damage (TV stand broken and dresser scratched) as well as boxes being damaged and collapsed. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Terrible experience.

  Amazing!! Truly, they were so fantastic during our moving process. Very efficient, professional, and great to work with! All of our belongings got to our new home safely and not a single thing broke in the process. They moved us from south Florida to Nashville, so they can definitely do long distance moves. The best part was though that they even gave us a huge price break because they were already going to Nashville anyway, so instead of charging us $6k (which was the what other moving companies quoted us), they only charged $3.5k. Super friendly and helpful team! 10/10 recommend!!

  Terrible. Americas Family Totally scammed our family moving our Senior from Florida to NC. The estimate went from 2300 to 4700 at pick up! The inventory list was pre-approved 4 days prior however at pickup a totally different company (Four Seasons) insisted on additional price. SCAM!
