DO NOT RELY ON POSITIVE REVIEWS!
This was my 11th move (including a cross-provincial move), and it was by far been my WORST moving experience to date.
The crew seemed pleasant when they arrived. My husband and I were asked to sign several forms, which appeared standard and we were told they were duplicates of our contract…However, I later realized we had been ASKED TO SIGN PRE AND POST TV condition forms at the BEGINNING OF THE MOVE, before the televisions had even been transported. More to come on signed forms…
At our previous home, the crew DID NOT USE FLOOR PROTECTION, despite this being included in our quote. During the move, a wall was significantly DAMAGED, leaving us scrambling to complete repairs before closing.
Our mattresses were transported WITHOUT PROTECTIVE MATTRESS BAGS or wrapping…
standard with professional movers. This was incredibly UNSANITARY, and a result, damaged the integrity of the mattresses… they became soiled and need to be replaced.
At our (brand new build) home, we requested that floor protection be used, again, as outlined in our quote. The crew refused and complained it would take too long… While some floor coverings were used, there were not enough to protect our entire home. We asked that shoes be removed in the unprotected areas, and again this was met with complaining, despite the fact that we were being billed in 15-minute increments. During unloading, a door trim was also GOUGED.
When approximately 3/4 of the truck had been unloaded, we were presented with the invoice. Earlier in the day, one crew member became sick and needed to go home. We had been told there would be a discount. Instead, our HOURLY RATE INCREASED from the quoted $149/hour to $209/hour. We were told our belongings would not be released until the invoice was paid.
Once everything was unloaded, the crew told my husband they needed a sign off signature - when he went back outside, everyone was gone. I called the crew and they said they were done. Come to realize, while looking at documents in the portal, my signature HAD BEEN FORGED.
The following day, while unpacking, we realized ALL OF OUR TVS ARE DAMAGED BEYOND USE. Based on the damage, they had either been dropped or had something fall on them in the truck… this was a 35 minute move.
It’s been 3 weeks and we have NOTHING AFTER SUBMITTING A CLAIM
Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this company ANY LESS. The combination of property damage, damaged items, unexpected billing, and lack of customer service has made this an EXTREMELY frustrating and costly move.
