- EBEttevyva BSep 14, 20211.0Attorney Doug Crocket set a fixed fee of $15,000.00 just to hire him to help with a work situation and never resolved anything. He says it wasn't his fault that there was a pandemic and other occurrence. He failed to set a court date when EEOC gave him a Right To Sue within 90 days (emails to back this up when I let him know we were running out of time to file). I filed a complaint with Legal Shield that recommended him. They took my complaint and told him to call me. On that call He claims none of this was his fault and kept $15,000 for not accomplishing anything and actually hurt my case because the Right to Sue letter issues I'm not allowed to re-file since he didn't do what was needed and required. This was devastating to me and a huge financial burden. He claims he wrote a letter to Social Security outside of the hire - but I let him know that is because he wanted his payments and is the only way I could make the payments to him with his Fixed Fee when I'd applied for my Social Security and it wasn't coming in. His reply was it wasn't up to him how I paid him and was up to my accountant. (I can't afford an accountant) - which is even more proof he is out of touch with someone that is already financially burdened and how DEVASTATING this was to me that he never followed through with the case and kept every penny that has devastated my financial situation plus not accomplishing anything and actually really hurt my case.
