Got to court & he ended up lying to us about several things & didn't defend my son at all. Him and the Commonwealth were in on keeping a Staunton cops son out of jail even with evidence he was the ring leader. Even lied to a co-defendant and scared him into not testifying.

I figured I'd have to leave a message and it would be a day or two before I'd get a response. My previous experience with law offices (even in real estate transactions) was that the staff comes off with an attitude of moral high-ground that leaves you feeling like a lesser human. I was very pleasantly surprised that I received a call back in less than 3 min and Sarah was extremely helpful, informative, and pleasant. We scheduled a consult with Mr. Burks and he was equally pleasant and helpful. I was very encouraged to have their support in a stressful situation and a plan of action for steps to take which may or may not involve their services. I never felt pressured or swayed but just that I was given the information to make my own decision on how I want to proceed.
