  I have had a great experience with Penn Bain at SSHW. He is extremely professional and well versed in divorce law. Anytime I’ve had a question, he was able to answer it thoroughly and thoughtfully. I have also had to use Penn’s services to fight for custody of my children in an emergency situation, and he dropped what he was doing to help represent me in court. I can not thank Penn enough for his support and counsel. I highly recommend Penn and SSHW if you need legal representation.

  Over the past 25 years I have used the legal services of SSH&W. The firm has seen me through some difficult times. In each instance they have represented me fairly with a successful outcome. Each case has been different but the careful case management, fair billing, and compassionate lawyers has been consistent. Most recently I was represented by Mr. Penn Bain. Mr Bain was patience, when I wasn’t….sometimes the wheels of justice grind slowly. Above all he provided top notch legal advice. The outcome of my last case exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend SSH&W for your legal needs.

  Where this post was originally a warning regarding one unethical attorney it has become an indictment of the entire firm based upon the firm supporting and even advocating unethical and unscrupulous behavior even after it was brought to their attention. Need to win when the facts aren't on your side? Attorney Penn Bain is your unscrupulous lawyer. Inconvenient facts? Attorney Bain will knowingly omit those pesky facts and even state the exact opposite if needed. Troublesome dates? No problems. Attorney Bain has no issue with backdating filings. Attorney Bain doesn't believe ethical obligations apply to him or his cases. Forget about those pesky facts because attorney Bain will not worry about his duty of candor to the court. Comcerned about a filing? No probllem, Bain will file motions with the court and only let you know after he's done; no reason to worry about being in the loop. Worried about testifying? Not with attorney Bain. Bain will conveniently skip over facts and lead you to whatever tale you want to tell. Whether you don't have the facts or you need to bury them attorney Bain is your go to guy for lack of ethical behavior in filings and testimony. When you are told by others that the facts are against you seek out attorney Bain for the best man to omit or even lie when its convenient to your narrative. Hard to lose when you have someone who ignores the rules! That's really cute they don't even deny committing crimes and violating the rules of ethics. But if we would like to go around touting our untruthful statements and lack of ethics as being a positive then perhaps the entire firm is infested. Just because you don't like the facts, it doesn't change what the facts are. Just because you don't like who states a fact didn't change that it is a fact. You can try to smear somebody because of who is reporting the facts or when the facts are being reported but the great thing about facts is that they are independent of who or when they are reported. His firm could take their ethical responsibility seriously and have an open dialogue about attorney bane's ethics. However, Bain and his firm prove that they're more interested in smearing character than addressing fact. You would think that perhaps the managers of the firm would be interested in aggregations of misconduct yet their response indicates they have no interest in addressing attorney misconduct and have all intention to support continued unethical and illegal behavior at every opportunity. Zealous, passionate, and strong representation do not require violations of ethical duties, statutes, or common sense.
